It's depressing because normally when I hear fans second guess the coaching staff I'm tempted to say, "like you could do a better job!"
But in this case I think y'all very well could. I truly don't understand how we expect better results with less talented players running the same offense that didn't even make the Tournament last season. I'd love to see more pick and roll actions because Alex could not only pick but also pop, and Alex could also screen to get Hailee free to roll to the hoop. Our old Princeton offense with 5 out and lots of passing worked best in the era where we had numerous 3 point threats and no dominant big. It already didn't make sense once we lost the Hulls and Jump and it makes even less sense now. Shay and Hailee are fast but not the greatest shooters - free them to get down hill, have the players running constant cuts, and use our posts to set screens and run the pick and roll.
I guess I'm a little sad that I'm not sad I didn't renew my season tickets...

I will be watching UNLV to see how their season goes. ESPN has them predicted to win the MW and notes Lindy has reloaded yet again. When Paye is gone I think Lindy is the first person Stanford will look to.

My report on the Pacific game is on the Fast Break Club site,
www.stanfordfbc.org. The teaser hasn't been updated, but the story is there.

Personally I liked what I saw and I’m excited to see how this team develops.

Does it have a trigger warning that some viewers may find it distressing or trauma inducing?
