Yes, thanks.  I had multiple interruptions, so I would like to rewatch.

I was wondering why this was at 4pm; I guess because of men's VB tonight.

Stannford seemed pretty pumped at the end of the match and in their post-game dance/celebration.

I allowed myself to look at the last page of the Stanford thread on a volleyball message board.  I learned Defensive Specialist Taylor Beaven is part of the fall class.  This is first time I heard about her.  BobK did you know about her?  She looks pretty good in the video I watched.

Lose 3 to 2. 1st loss at home to ASU since 1982. Xu's setting all over the place
Commentator mentioned Kipp may be out rest of year

RE: Stanford Women's Volleyball - Softball Fan - 03-21-2021

That was some really, really low level volleyball.  Neither Stanford or ASU could pass the ball.  It was pathetic.  IMO there are community college teams that can pass better than either of these teams.

I understand the players are out of sync as a team unit due to insufficient practice time.  But I would not expect their individual skills to disappear the way they have.

Fidelak had seven service errors.  How does a player miss the serve  seven times in one match?

Xu, who I had high hopes for, is flat-out a disappointment.  Location terrible and she doesn't seem to be strong enough to push the set out to the pins.

I'm ready for the fall season because this level of VB is not worth watching.

Then don’t watch it.  Or, if you do, save your time and energy by not bothering to post relentless griping, bad-mouthing, and criticism. It may make you feel better, but it really doesn’t serve much purpose for anyone else.  I think it’s fair to say that anyone who reads the WVB thread knows exactly how you feel at this point.

76lsjumb

I have been a Stanford WVB fan for a very long time.  Here is one of my comment's about the Friday match against ASU:

Thanks.  This is a match with some positives to it that I would like to watch again.

I'm going to post my honest observations about Stanford WVB regardless of what you think or until I am banned.  Deal with it Dude.

PA, I think we all appreciate your volleyball posts.  I understand your frustration with this year's team performance.  Please continue to share your observations, both good and bad.

“I’m so grateful for John and Denise for believing in a 6-foot outside that I could come to Stanford. I don’t think many people would have taken that risk. I would love to think that Kevin would. He might, but I’m not sure he would. I don’t know."

“Now I don’t think I’d want to play for anyone other than Kevin,” McClure said.

“I had a lot on my mind when Kevin told me we could have 13 scholarships next year and I could stay. There was a lot going through my mind."

She's obviously thought about this a lot, and seems firmly committed to moving on with her plan.

Congrats to Elena Oglivie, this week's defensive specialist of the week; what I hope will be the first of many.

Big Ten Conference is allowing fans at all sporting events effective immediately.  It's up to individual schools and their states' guidelines what they want to do.  Some schools, notably Nebraska, have said they will allow fans for WVB home matches.

The daughter of former NBA dunk champion Harold Miner has always played up in club ball.

She’s been doing extensive private volleyball training throughout the fall and winter and also high level strength and conditioning training throughout the pandemic.

She can’t wait to put on the Cardinal jersey. After all, Kami has been committed to the Stanford process since the 9th grade.

Well, that's a sad end to a sad season:

A Shame for sure. Can’t wait until august.
