What a performance and a feat by Huff. The list of players with multiple grand slams in the same game can't be that long. Hopefully the team's hitting stays scorching hot.
Anyone knows what happened to Vincent Martinez? He was the regular DH. Is he hurt?

Mathews getting the start tonight.
His best performance of the year came against UC Irvine in March. 8 IP / 1 ER / 4 H / 1 BB / 6 K's in a 6-1 win. Here's hoping for a replication of that effort and that UC Irvine bats are all out of juice after the 18 runs they put up a few hours ago on the Bison.

Mathews needed 52 pitches to get through the first two innings, that was a sign of trouble. In the top of the third he skidded off the road and had to be pulled. Grech gets through the third, and he and the other relievers will need to cover for the last six.

Very bizzare. That was a hack job, nothing in video showed fair, after being ruled foul. I can’t get behind that call
Sure must be nice to be gifted a game UCI. Laughable umpiring.

NCAA wanted a man on second there. In no way was that conclusively fair.
