Brooke Demetre.  There doesn't seem to be anything she can't do, left or right handed:

Great to hear. The UConn board folks have been raving about Citron for quite a while.

I really like her jump shot. She brings the ball up high to shoot and has a nice arc on it.

Oregon just offered her. It will be interesting to see how she develops. Right now she can overpower defenders with her size and appears to be playing post occasionally. She does seem like a slightly taller version of Ionescu.

I like the fact she doesn't need to put the ball on the floor before gathering herself.  I think she will be awesome whatever position she plays.  If she can play good D she could be a 4-year starter.

I was just looking over HoopGurlz and saw Sasha Goforth committed to Oregon State. Given her dad is a Stanford alum, I had hoped we landed her.

RE: WBB: Women's Basketball Updated Recruiting 2019-21 classes, May 30 - 2006alum - 06-29-2019

I don't think Goforth was going to get through door 1, or at a minimum, we weren't even among her final schools she was deciding between, so it's been a long time since we thought she might come to the Farm.

RE: WBB: Women's Basketball Updated Recruiting 2019-21 classes, May 30 - BobK - 06-29-2019

This is extremely interesting and could it apply to Wilson and Fingall

https://mobile.twitter.com/kerryeggers/status/1144849710642946048

Kat Tudor applying for a redshirt year

Also a player at Utah , Provo, is on their just released roster and seems to have received another year with similar circumstances

Stay tuned

RE: WBB: Women's Basketball Updated Recruiting 2019-21 classes, May 30 - Lorcan - 06-29-2019

My understanding is that it won’t. Typically, to get a medical redshirt, if I recall, you’d need to play about 9 games or fewer. Nadia, unfortunately, played 12, so it seems unlikely. On the other hand, I believe Anna did try for a medical redshirt; however, because the injuries that sidelined her were twice separate ones it seems that she’s ineligible for a redshirt. I remember someone commenting to that effect after a chalk talk or a game.

It’s unfortunate, but I don’t think either will get an extra year barring unforeseen circumstances this upcoming season.

RE: WBB: Women's Basketball Updated Recruiting 2019-21 classes, May 30 - BobK - 06-29-2019

Disagree lorcan. Not with the rules you mention but with your bottom line

I first heard that Tudor would almost two months ago and now she is.

Stay tuned

Any thoughts on whether Citron will make a decision soon?  I’m leaning towards yes (if she wants to come here). Her academics seem to fall into the category of “not worried about getting in” like early commits Wilson, Van Gytenbeek, Brink and Demetre.

RE: WBB: Women's Basketball Updated Recruiting 2019-21 classes, May 30 - BobK - 06-29-2019

No feel at all at this point but why not :)

I have updated the main list.

RE: WBB: Women's Basketball Updated Recruiting 2019-21 classes, May 30 - jonnyss - 06-29-2019

citron seems to be ranked #17 in the 2021 class by espn. playing for hoopersny 2020 elite makes it look like she is 2020.

RE: WBB: Women's Basketball Updated Recruiting 2019-21 classes, May 30 - BobK - 06-29-2019

Srs can’t play travel so many teams with hrs on down are playing 2020

thanks, bob. reading about the u16 team, citron was #2 scorer to 6' 7" lauren betts, '22. usa basketball describes betts as academic all-state. does betts have any interest in stanford that we know of?

RE: WBB: Women's Basketball Updated Recruiting 2019-21 classes, May 30 - BosCard - 06-30-2019

So the Stanford Women's Basketball twitter account just started following Sonia Citron.  It's not an announcement per se but it's a very very good sign.  The account does not follow potential recruits only players and recruits who have committed.  I believe we had this discussion about Haley Jones where she appeared on the SWBB twitter follow list right before she committed.  And of the SWBB twitter account recently started following Demetre (I don't know if that was right before or right after her commitment announcement).

great that there's interest in 2023 judea watkins. she looks pretty great.
and if my math is right, she's in 8th grade in the videos.
