What's the opposite of turtling?

Unbelievable...

I wouldn't write us off next week so soon. KJ is back,
and UCF's RB and WR are not of SC's quality.

And we play Oregon at home. This team has played very well
at home for most part.

Let's take it a week at a time.

Mills is not exactly a graceful runner.

I hope we can at least finish the game positively...

Gotta go for it. We have nothing to lose.

Hamilton stood around like topiary on that play.

Ineffective run game killing us... so many wasted plays.. I know you need to keep D guessing but you can do that with variation in passing plays... the run game has not worked since 1stQ... I love Shaw but needs to adapt to flow of game...

FUSC

We just look bad. As poor a defense as I remember from a Shaw team.

I mean, sure. But this is looking like a limited team. Too many holes in the places we were worried about at the start of the year. Offensive line was thin and we lost our best tackle. Safety was weak and inexperienced and has been exposed by USC. Inside linebacker was inexperienced, and has done nothing to reassure us. Our running backs are merely ok. Our receivers are talented but young and a step down from last year. Párkinson hasn’t quite stepped up to be a top tight end. And today, the d-line, the one place where I thought we were going to shine, has just plain sucked.

The safety play has been awful tonight. #3 with a poor angle
among other things on that play. #22 gets burned with speed.

RE: Next Starts Now (Stanford @ USC Game Thread) - LDN/SG Card - 09-07-2019

Oh my goodness... can our DBs focus on maintaining inside allignments for once to reduce effective of slants... ADJUST to game?!

Worst Mazda commercial I've ever seen.

Even early on, they did not take full advantage of the opportunities and Stanford was clearly not prepared for USC's new look offense.

Is the UW game cancelled?

Safety stood out on tape last week (more backup safety, but still), but it was a red flag even against NW. Against a team with SC's speed,
weaknesses at safety become magnified.

Agreed #3 had no effect on play...

Just checking- has Mills checked out of many plays tonight? Because it seems like he’s running the called play come hell or high water. And not coming off his primary receiver as well.

That fourth down play was running into an 8 man box with only six blockers. Felt like Shaw’s halfway compromise to trying a spread out offense for short yardage, and worked about as well as I’d expect.
