I’m all for giving a lot of offers, but I don’t know why we can’t spread them around more.

What do you mean by this?

RE: Class of 2023 - BobK - 04-19-2022

Some people have that sense of humor that requires comment if a recruit has received there 10 offer from Stanford.
In this case a double Brandt says from the university of Stanford
Too funny. Not.

It was funny the first few times. Now it's starting to get a little stale.

No relation to Jay.

Commas are your friend, but I guess I’m a pedant about this.

Let's see, play before ninety thousand screaming fans or perform at a picnic. What is Plan B?

Of course, the other way of looking at it is if you got hurt and couldn't play football, where would you want your degree to come from?

This is a Stanford-SCAR battle. SCAR just took Spencer Rattler in the portal and has 2 incoming frosh QBs.

RE: Class of 2023 - BostonCard - 04-23-2022

Our last battle with South Carolina for a QB didn’t end well for us, but it didn’t end well for South Carolina or Helinski, who transferred to Northwestern and then lost out for starting QB there.

Incorrect. Our last battle with SCAR for a QB was Braden Davis last year. (We were also never in it for Hilinski considering how late the offer came, and the family wanting to move away from the West Coast due to the awful older brother situation.)

Transfer. For academics. Not to Stanford because it looks down its nose at transfers but there are plenty of schools with great academics. You guys are not alone...really.

RE: Class of 2023 - old spanish trail - 04-23-2022

Posting this here, because where else? Caught 15 min of Oregon spring game last hour. Announcers said 42,000 attendance. Looked more like 32,000 which is 31,700 more than on the Farm. Phogge, Butterfield was one of 3 qb's. He looked ok but announcers said Bo Nix was the best.

RE: Class of 2023 - Phogge - 04-23-2022

Wasn't that impressed with Nix last year. If he's running ahead of Butter then it must be the system. LOL.

Punter, and a damn good one.

RE: Class of 2023 - Phogge - 04-24-2022

Punter? He’ll get a ton of work.

He does both.  From his twitter profile…

Quote: Oaks Christian ‘23 | Stanford Commit?| MaxPreps All American 1st Team | CSK #1 punter/#2 kicker | Kohl’s #2 punter/#6 kicker | AG2G

I guess it depends what we need more. Sanborne will be a senior, but we do have a sophomore punter (Wesleman). Karty is only a junior, but we do have Kenny, who is also a PWO.

Phogge, you are certainly entitled to your opinion. However, tens of thousands of Stanford applicants yearly would disagree with you on your notion that Stanford is just another school with good academics.
