Miller at guard, Hattis at tackle. Sarrell resting?

Not that it matters, but how was that not a pass interference?

So, the second half answered the question as to whether our guys would pull together and play disciplined team football. Unfortunately, the answer is no. This is going to be a long season. Oh gawd, the stupid Mazda commercial again with the girl floating through the air holding a red balloon.
In the 1st Q we were beating them in the trenches on both sides of the ball. What changed? We didn't want it bad enough. We let them take over the game and didn't fight back.

With a short week against #18, next game could be ugly.

Hard to judge them now as game gone but some of our angles of D have been terrible... I remember with Card used to pride itself on open field tackling...

Where is the pride? Pathetic

Speed from USC makes it look worse but Cardinal cant win without doing basics well...

Well that just sucked. I think the bigger issue I see is that this team lacks an offensive identity. We have thrown more because we that’s the only thing that half way works the last couple years, but we are not an especially good passing team.

Worst loss to USC since Walt Harris 42-0 in 2006

We just seem about average at everything at the moment.. with KJ and PA stand outs but they need more around them... doesn't feel like coaches are putting guys in position to win or maybe that is a reflectiom of taleny level... their Oline was vastly superior to ours today and that had massive effect on game but I am sure we could have used short passing game including RB passes better... and defensively just seemed so passive.... bend don't break doesn't work if you can't take away basic stuff once they get in RZ...

Not sure I saw average out there today.

If only we had had some spare scholarships to use on offensive linemen a few years ago...

Yeah, I don't get the lack of OL recruitment. That was Stanford's calling card during the run. It seems we're back to the days of using academics as an excuse rather than a lure.
