So far, McDonald is playing like the player of the year and Buekers is playing like a freshman. I doubt it stays that way, but still, I do wonder if McDonald took the snub a bit personally.

Going as well as possible for Zona. Can they keep it up for 20 more minutes? Yukon needs to channel their inner Stanford to get the win. They don't have a Prechtel on their bench so they will need to get PB going. Aari defending her very well so far.

Wow, Arizona wins the second quarter too. Remember that national championship game in 2010 when we held UConn to 12 points in the first half? Didn't work out in the second. Geno is roasting them in the locker room just now.

1:29 to go in the 3rd. AZ up 14. Largest deficit UCONN has seen all season. Barring McDonald getting hurt, I like AZ's chances of making it an all Pac-12 National Championship Game.
PS: Bueckers looks like she is getting frustrated. She's never played from this position before. It will be interesting to see how she handles it.

I can hardly believe that Arizona is winning the 3rd quarter too. I think I had given them a 1.5% chance. I think I need to increase those odds somewhat. UConn is hanging their heads, an assistant coach was rubbing Geno's back. The don't have good body language, and they did not snap out of it after the first half as we did.
I still think they could easily win it, but if they do, it will be an emotional experience for them. Any way this works out is good for us.
EDIT: UConn closed out the quarter with a 5-0 run and won the third quarter by a point. They easily have the firepower to close the gap in a single quarter, so Arizona needs to keep up its defense intensity for another 10 minutes, and McDonald is going to have to drop a few bombs. If they do, it will be one of the greatest upsets in final four history.

Well, UCONN will have to win the 4th quarter by 10 points to win this game. AZ's defense has been excellent so far. This could happen folks.
BTW, disrespect = motivation. Leaving AZ out of that final four promo was total disrespect.

Yukon closes the quarter with a 5-0 run to get within 9 points. Can Zona withstand the Yukon run in the first 5 minutes of the 4th quarter?
I sense a big run from Yukon and the refs coming up.

Zona survived the first 5 minutes... Still a 9 point lead. They need to get the ball to Aari and let her take over. The rest should not shoot anything but an open jumper.
Yukon can still pull this out. PB is frustrated at not getting calls she is accustomed to getting.
