And it finishes 10-9 ND. So is that 1 win in the last 15 conference games? I lost track. In any case ND goes from 4 conference wins on the season to 7. Ugh.

The crazy part is we were what 5-1 at one point? That really was a miracle in hindsight.

We have the worst pitching in the conference by far.  Are we recruiting the wrong guys, or do we have lousy coaching. The top half of the conference have an era in the 4s, we are almost at 7.

Two of our top three starters were super highly ranked recruits. Scott was predicted about mid first rounder at the start of the season. Must have been coached up his first two years

Was there a pitching coach change after 2022?  Our pitching has gotten markedly worse since that year.  Sad to waste out hitting when we can't get anyone out.

The sun is going down on the Cardinal but it has not yet set.  At this point in time our RPI is 47, the albatross hanging from our neck is our 6-15 conference record. Stanford looked a lot better against UC Davis than they looked even in their earlier game against UC Davis two weeks before.  On the other hand, we thought we would be in for a get-right series at home against Notre Dame and ended up getting our &%$ kicked.  Wake Forest is in town, and they are a better team than Notre Dame.

I would just like to not look like dog $#%& in the remainder of our weekend series, particularly on the mound and in the field.  Is that really such a tall order to ask?

We're still tied at 6-6, now just starting the bottom of the 12th after a third out swinging strikeout from Garewal (with a runner on second).  Yet again, Stanford can close out this game with a single run...

Sasaki singles to right field, Blair in to pinch run, and then Campbell gets a 3-2 walk.  No outs.  Here we go!
