Thanks for the reminder OF.  I think Alexander was deliberately somewhat vague as to whether he was accepted to Stanford or not, so maybe I misread Bob.  Perhaps the reference to Alexander be to challenge the assertion that Wilkins was accepted to Stanford.

Wilkins was admitted. Fellow DL priority Aaron Armitage has also been admitted.

The question now is will we finally see the first year where more than 1 admitted recruit has chosen to go elsewhere?

Don't know what you mean Bob, but the recruit to whom I'm referring is DL Wilkins.

Lorenzo Alexander, the last recruit accepted to Stanford who elected to go to Cal.

My recollection was that Alexander was academically qualified but was denied admission to Stanford due to a disciplinary incident for which he was suspended while in high school.

DC you could be right. Thanks

pretty sure Alexander was a ding.  based on Durrett scale, he had a very very low likelihood of being admitted.

Scarlett was admitted, chose Cal, grad transferred to Stanford and is the only living former Bear to have won a Rose Bowl.

One statement I read on TOS was that Alexander failed to put the need effort into his application, specifically the essays.

RE: Class of 2021 - Phogge - 08-07-2020

My nephew was a classmate of Lorenzo's at St. Mary's. Liked him a lot. Don't know about the transgression but at the Jesuit school where I went academics were never a question re eligibility. Changed a lot but today's team a bit different from our national champs.

Alexander's academics were strong but I believe he was involved in an altercation with a teacher and subsequently suspended briefly. Although out of character for him this doomed his application to Stanford, I was told. He was a solid citizen at Cal and been an exemplary player in the NFL.

The Cal recruiting loss streak for Stanford-admitted recruits has ended:

Another 3* ILB from GA. Has a 4.0 GPA and a state ranked wrestler. Insane production: 105 tackles, 15 TFLs, 11 QB hurries, 7 sacks, 4 FFs - in 7A, the highest level of Georgia HS football competition. I really really like this offer.

247 lists Stanford as the only school for which he is 'warm.'

When a recruit has the Stanford offer "pinned" at the top of their Twitter profile as Dubre does (as do RB Brendon Barrow and DE Anthony Franklin), that's usually a good sign.

CFBS has a feature call Stanford recruiting trail... they look at the last recruiting class and talk about what the team needs to do this class and how they are doing in that area... interesting...

A bit misleading since Damuni - our ILB Levani's cousin - is LDS. So really '23.

And that's what we call a full secondary, folks!

Easily the best offer list of all commits to date. Lots of big boys: Bama, Florida, UGA, Oregon, ND, USC...
