Social media posts from Stanford softball confirms Stanford will not host any potential postseason games at Stanford Stadium. Doesn't necessarily preclude hosting elsewhere? Still a lot of work to do to really get in that conversation for a top 16 seed.

10 runs on 18 hits against Boston College today. Not a surprise.

Stanford could not thus did not bid for post season.

Tough circumstances on both fronts. I understand not being able to host at Stanford Stadium, but I have no idea why we couldn't, in concert with a school like Santa Clara or San Jose State, bid for the postseason to host at their campuses. Our athletic department underestimated what this team could potentially acheive. I appreciate seeing the gratitude of the players regarding being able to play their games at Stanford Stadium, but as a fan, the expectation is that our AD supports our student athletes (which if Stanford ends up with a good enough resume for a top 16 seed, but has to go on the road to a tough SEC matchup, could cost our team a possible Super Regional berth). Stanford's athletic department budget, as far as I am aware, is in the 9 figures; we are in an NIL era where we profess to support our student athletes. Having to give up a potential host spot because no one envisioned this team as a top 16 seed without NiJaree Canady is a poor job.

Stanford with 4 HRs so far lead BC 12-5 bottom of 5th

Baldwin the Eagle was flying high in the first inning with three runs. Seems like he has come crashing down. At the moment 16 runs on 15 hits.
I would be interested if some nerd looked up NCAA hosting rules to see if a team can make a bid for hosting at another college venue. I'm too lazy in my old age.

20-5 now.
I don’t know where Cal will be playing next year when their long awaited stadium rebuild happens but they may know the answer
Two school records Most runs in a game and most HRs in a season

What an impressive performance by the Cardinal today, posting runs in each inning en route to a 20-7 demolition of Boston College. Multiple players with homeruns and multiple RBIs in the rout.

Defense has not been good today and the walks problem continues. Stanford still currently up 6-5, but very little has been easy so far today.

Stanford improbably has come all the way back to take an 8-7 lead heading into the bottom of the eighth inning. Take us to the finish line Kylie.

And so it finishes. All right now!

And Stanford holds on to complete the sweep! Kylie Chung dug deep in the circle to pick up her 13th win on the year. Taryn Kern's RBI single is the difference for Stanford, who has swept Boston College, and will face Pitt on Wednesday for a chance at the ACC quarterfinals against Duke.

Frustrating most of the day but nice comeback. Keeps my expectations for the NCAA tournament in check. Pitching against top level teams is going to require a humongous number of runs as a counterbalance. Kern is really helping out lately.

I love this team, but the walks drive me nuts. TEN walks today!...yikes!

Several years ago, Cal baseball hosted a regional at Santa Clara because there were no lights at Cal’s baseball stadium.

Santa Clara seating is very small
SJS isn’t much said politely

50 fans 20 miles from home is better than 25 fans 1500 miles away at your opponent’s. (It is not the fans I care about)
