I thought Rodgers's response was fair. He admitted that one play could not be the reason they had lost, but acknowledged that Montgomery's fumble was critical. It really is a shame how this has played out.

the Rodgers quote:  "That play didn’t lose the game, but it definitely took away an opportunity for us to go down and win it.”

per NFL.com report, "According to more than a half-dozen Packers players and coaches who witnessed it, Montgomery had thrown a tantrum of his own on Green Bay's previous offensive series, becoming noticeably enraged on the sideline after being removed from the game."

no matter how its cut, not a good decision by Montgomery.  may be he'll have better luck with the Baltimore Harbs?

Thanks for posting this. It's funny. Because I've followed Montgomery for so long -- I still remember how excited I was watching his high school highlights as I wrote a blurb about his commitment, probably back in 2010 -- my first thought was for how this was going to affect him. We live in a world where criticism from fans can be very public. Once upon a time an athlete would make an error on the field and hear boos from the stands, now those boos are sent to his or her inbox. If you follow him on Twitter, you know that Montgomery has clearly made an effort to engage with the Green Bay community. It's unfortunate that he's feeling such heat for this, and even more unfortunate that it's being fueled by an anonymous teammate.

It's also unfair to Ty that none of the other stories quoted this part of his response which was in the USA Today piece:

Quote:“At that point in time, I stood where I always stood, I had a returnable ball,” he said. “So I made a split-second decision, I don’t know if this is going to land on the goal line. So I’m not going to take a knee on the goal line, at the half-yard line and take a chance at putting the game in the ref's hands. Unfortunately, I ended up fumbling the football. I don’t think we’d be having this conversation if I didn’t fumble the football because we know how good our two-minute offense is.

Perhaps emotional response from me...I don’t like the way the Packers including Rogers publicly ripped Ty.    Will be rooting against them going forward except for Blake
