You've obviously repressed the memory of the 2006 Arizona game. Stanford had 52 yards of offense -- 58 passing yards and -6 rushing yards -- and 42 yards of kick returns for a grand total of 94 all-purpose yards. Our only points were from a 72-yard pick six by Wopamo Osaisai.
That Arizona game was the worst I've ever seen the team play, and arguably it was the nadir of the Stanford program.
This year's loss to UCLA reminded me greatly of it. This year certainly felt worse because I had higher expectations.

Thanks cc; my brain somehow remembered it as being a shade over 100 yards.
UCLA was a more disappointing loss, especially sandwiched between good outings against Washington and Arizona, but at least we had an offensive score and we can reasonably wonder about out having to play our third string quarterback. Hard to believe Mills or Costello would have made such a big difference, but I wonder if Costello being able to move around in the pocket better than West would have helped reduce the sacks, plus having him beat press coverage once or twice with throws to FEhoko or St. brown (as he did against Arizona) would have softened the coverage a bit.
Not sure that buys us 19 points, but I do think the offensive futility would have been less pronounced, and the game less frustrating to watch as a result.

Was that 2006 Arizona game the game where we punted on 3rd down? For me, that is the low point.

I think I remember Elway quick kicking on third down on more than one occasion. Of course there's the element of surprise, that really wasn't.

Yes, T.C. Ostrander had a 54-yard quick kick.
Here are the stats for the game.
Maybe I'm mis-remembering but I thought we had a couple of other quick kicks that year.

How’d I miss this? The worlds worst disaster of a trick play, which should have ended with a big TFL, somehow went for 58 yards. Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good... or to play Syracuse.
