There was a season-ending team meeting on Sunday night, and it was reported that at least ten players stormed out in anger. We later found out that the coach had been fired, so perhaps that's why.

I always imagined a Leach coached SEC doormat going 3-5 or 4-4 each season and all the wins coming against the best teams in the conference. People would lose their minds.

Ole Miss players were pissed that Matt Luke was fired. Looking from the outside, I do think they should have given Luke one more year. He is an alum of the school, he was dealing with NCAA sanctions, and 88% of his team’s offensive production was from Freshmen in 2019.
IOW, players on the team could see they were building something, must have liked their coach, and the decision to fire him has turned them off the school in a big way.
