Because I didn't want to pay for Flo TV, or whatever it was called, I ended up listening to an inning here-and-there from the opposing team's broadcasts. It was weird, but I sometimes got the sense that the other announcer's--especially Houston's--were pulling for Stanford to get it together. Maybe it's because they were confident that their team had no chance of losing, so they were feeling gracious.
My own delusions aside, it would mean a lot to turn things around against Cal tonight. Based on what I saw vs UCSB, the Bears are not a great team, but they will be at home and, naturally, happy to make Stanford more miserable.
