The stupidest thing about all of this is that there is no chance that schools will open in NYC by June 1st.  Even if the number of new cases/deaths has dropped considerably a month from now (a likely thing), there will still be plenty of people in the city with the virus, and the necessary testing/contact tracing apparatus will not be in place yet.  Opening schools before July is a pipe dream.

Cuomo is just trying to assert himself as alpha dog.

Sad that Cuomo is no better than Trump in some ways.

Sorry about  any whataboutism; I'm using this as an implied (negative) commentary on Cuomo, not a justification.

Well, this only substantiates my conclusion that born and bred New Yorkers seem to make for egomaniacal and conflict-inclined politicians, from the local level all the way up to the presidency. If it's true at all levels, how can it be a whataboutism? ;)
