Need to protect the lead late in the game, Mendez to the free throw line...game over. Or, playing against a zone, Mendez will bust it. Or, need a quick comeback, Mendez running off screens for three pointers. I loved Ryan Mendez.

I like Art Lee at the line late in the game, especially in the NCAA tournament.

No doubt Arthur was the man at the line in the tourney (if only we could see who on this team can fill that role). Guess who he is second to in all time Stanford FT%? Mendez shot 88% as a junior and 93% as a senior. I'll take either one.

Arthur Lee, my favorite Stanford player. Had some swagger which is needed on the current team.

"Whose your daddy.............ARTHUR LEE."

Met Tom Dose in person a couple of years ago. What an absolute gentleman.

Not Stanford.  But I’ve always felt that the most pressure FTs ever were Doug Collins in ‘72. Down 1 to USSR with 3 seconds left.  Incredible pressure. Hit both.  You know the rest of the story.
