Oregon All American OT Penei Sewell will skip this season and prepare for the draft.

The decision by our star left tackle will be interesting.  Sewell is a lock as a first rounder and had more to lose than gain. Little isn't in the same situation and may have more to gain than lose.

Little is being touted in mock drafts, usually in the first round. I think he is gone.

Looks like a number of Oregon players are also opting out:

Quote:In three days, the Ducks have lost three marquee players. Tackle Penei Sewell and corners Deommodore Lenoir and Thomas Graham have opted not to play for Oregon in the delayed Pac-12 season and begin preparing for the NFL draft.

Sewell has already been mentioned, but losing a couple added players hurts Oregon.

I remember back when Bob Whitfield declared for the NFL after his junior year, one of his team mates said something to the effect "the only reason for him to stay and play another year of college ball is to get bigger".............I think at the time Bob was listed at 6'-6" and +300 lbs, which back then was brobdingnagian.  Of course 3 of the 4 remaining oline members were also listed at or above 300 lbs (all from the Pacific Northwest), the fourth was listed at around 290 lbs.  For an easy trivia question who was the 290 lb. member of that oline.

Chris Dalman....he actually was listed at 6'4 295 in college kind of like how Bob Whitfield was listed at 6'7 and 305.   All of these guys "shrunk an inch" in the NFL

I'd actually rather we lead UW, Oregon and USC in this category. It would mean that we are recruiting and developing more draft-worthy players.

Agree.

We are not.
