The official who called the T is Ted Valentine who has a terrible reputation for theatrics. The Big 10 actually dropped him from officiating their games a few years ago.

I don’t often agree with Walton but he is right about ZW not getting fair calls.
I guess when you’re that hyped, there’s a big target on your back, even from the zebras.

There have been periods where we looked clearly better, periods where UNC looked clearly better, and periods where we looked evenly matched. All told, there have been more periods where UNC was clearly better than when we looked clearly better, but I have been surprised by how well we have hung with a top-15 team.

Especially the last four minutes. UNC tightened up their D and looked confident on offense. We played pretty good defense during that spurt, but did not look good offensively.

That was some of the worst officiating I can recall seeing. Even for a Pac-12 crew, this would have been a notably bad showing.
