The refs are letting a lot go under the basket. Good to see Brink get her own miss and put it back with lots of contact. But no foul called.

Well, we finished the quarter very well, and are now up 20-13. We did not start well. Brink, Wilson, and Belibi are leading the offense. Haley has not scored and is attracting attention.

We lead 20-13 after one quarter.
A good shooting percentage and an edge on the boards is outweighing 5 turnovers right now.
Brink does not play like a freshman. She is full of confidence and aggressive on both ends of the court. Anna's two 3s are nice to see; a consistent offensive contribution from her in addition to her defense is gravy and bodes well for our chances.
Our defense is holding Arizona to 21% shooting.

Well, that was much better. We went on a 13-2 run to end the quarter and are up 20-13. Brink and Wilson each have 6; Belibi has 4. We are shooting 58%, though we'd be up by much more had we not committed 5 turnovers.
McDonald is 1/8 and as a team Arizona are shooting 21%. I would not expect this to last all game, so we need to tighten up on ball control.

Arizona is rattled by Stanford's defense. Women's college basketball is a very physical sport. Arizona coach has to be frustrated with her team under the basket, they are getting beat up.
Things could change completely in the second half if Arizona gets their 3 point shots going.

We take a 44-20 lead into halftime as our defense continues to clamp down on the Wildcats' defense, dropping their FG% to below 20%. McDonald has 8 points but it's taken her 12 shots to get there, shooting 2/12. I think we are being aggressive on defense, especially the Hull twins, seizing on any chance to contest the ball.
We are dominating the rebounds 29-13 and are a perfect 10/10 from the FT line.
Haley has 10 points; her shooting is off at 2/7, but she's 6/6 from the charity stripe.
Anna having herself quite a game, not only defending McDonald, but scoring 9 points off of 3/3 shooting from long range and leading the team in rebounds with 8.
I think the announcers mentioned Arizona has 8 points off of our turnovers, so if we are able to minimize those in the second half, the better.

44-20 halftime lead. I'm happily surprised (serendipity).
Unless we completely fall off the proverbial cliff, this game is over.
