One thing that does seem to be true is that multiple Super Bowl winners do seem to be elite:

Quick look seems like Stafford would be cheaper than Ryan. On win/loss only Niners could have the tenth pick depending on how it shakes out with the other 6-10 teams. That’s in the ballpark for Lance and Jones, maybe Trask. However they need a lineman who can start right away and perhaps a corner likewise. I think they keep Jimmy.
Lynch will restructure some contracts and in some other FA situations subtraction means addition.

One final note on Jimmy Garoppolo since his arrival. When the Niners start Jimmy G at QB, they are 22-8 starting him at QB, and 7-26 when someone else starts.

When I was a junior in high school and running track, the track itself was right next to an open ended football stadium (Cabrillo College in Aptos). We were working out, and there was a mumble, then a buzz, then we abandoned any pretense of working out to watch Morton throw passing patterns to several receivers. This would have been the spring he was 36 years old (his career would last another four seasons).

The QBs left in playoffs:
Rodgers - 1st round -32 I think;
Allen - 1st Round -7;
Goff- Round 1 - 1;
Brees - Round 1 don’t remember; EDIT - he was the first pick of Round 2.
Mayfield - Round 1- 1
Mahomes- Round 1- 10;
Jackson - Round 1-32
Brady- Round 6. Turned out to be pretty good.
It’s a QB league. Rams have the best defense in football. An excellent offensive mind as HC. But I’ll be surprised if they get past next week. Cause Goff is not good even when healthy. NO is loaded. But I’m not sure Brees has enough left.
The best QBs in the league are Mahomes, Rodgers, Wilson (who played the worst game I’ve ever seen him play vs the Rams), Brady (still) and this year, Allen (who darn near singlehanded got them past Indy). Not sure Buffalo can beat Balt because Jackson is a force of his own. Plays the position like no one else (and last years MVP). On a cold windy day in Buffalo his legs may be the difference.
The only top flight QB whose team did not make the playoffs is Watson.
This year, my guess is Mahomes and Rodgers in SB.

Watson? Sadly, the guy is coming off completely as a prima dona with his pouting over the next head coach (or is it GM) that he is expecting to have a major say in the matter. Demanding a trade now. . . .

And since 2000, the SB winner has been Quarterbacked by guys that will be in HOF 16 times. The four exceptions: Baltimore twice (Dilfer and Flacco ) TB (Johnson) and Philly (Foles).

Here is the full list of starters NOT drafted in round 1:
Drew Brees: round 2 pick 1
Derek Carr: round 2 pick 4
Drew Lock: round 2 pick 10
[Jalen Hurts: round 2 pick 21 (starter over Wentz?)]
Jimmy Garoppolo: round 2 pick 30
Russell Wilson: round 3
Mike Glennon: round 3 (or Gardner Minshew, round 6)
Dak Prescott: round 4
Kirk Cousins: round 4
Tom Brady: round 6
Depending on the Wentz/Hurts scenario, 22-23 of 32 starting QBs in the NFL were 1st round picks, and 4-5 more were 2nd round picks.
6 of the 8 remaining playoff QBs being 1st rounders, and another being a 2nd rounder, is basically EXACTLY what you'd expect from choosing 8 NFL starting QBs at random.
