Just a coincidence. The killer was a series of something like 4-5 TOs in 6-7 possessions. Bryce was on a stationary bike and walking around, so hopefully he recovers over the next 4 days.

So maybe having a better ball handler in would have helped?  Also, we basically stopped defending after Bryce went out--Cal was getting easy layups and wide open 3's.

O'Connell had 3 of those TOs.

Did I miss it or did Ziaire not play?  This suggests the info was wrong, since I don't think there would be any reason to hold him out other than not being available.

He was on the sideline and dressed to play. Not sure why he didn't but it appears that was a coach decision.

Easy to imagine several reasons for why Williams would be dressed but not get in the game after such a long layoff. Just a guess, but I fully expect him to play (limited minutes) against Colorado.

That seems a bit odd; even if he was a bit out of shape, I would think he could come in for brief spurts.

My take on ZW not playing last night: I’m guessing that Haase’s preference (or policy, even) for playing guys off the IR or MIA list is to have them able/present to practice a minimum number of days with team before they see game action.

In fact, O'Connell has been on a bit of a TO binge just lately. He's had 10 in the past 3 games, just about half of his TOs on the year (21).
Hopefully we'll see that cleaned up, though his TOs will go up as he takes on a bigger role in the offense.

As I recall, Eric Reveno tried it after a bad streak at the line. I have this vague memory that Andrew Vlahov also gave it a try at some point. Before that, another Menlo School alum, John Paye, shot Rick Barry style (as he had in high school) for an entire season, but I heard at the time that after Tom Davis arrived, he refused to let Paye continue.

That can't quite be true as Paye played 84, 85. 86, all under Tom Davis.

You're right; it's been a few years, so it might have been that Davis let John shoot Rick Barry style his first season and then said no. But, I saw John shoot Rick Barry style in high school and never thought he was a better FT shooter when he shot 'normally.'
