Chavez not on Oregon roster
81, I had same thoughts as you.

Could be another really important game for Jerome. I’ve always thought she was an intelligent player who understands the offense, cuts well, and passes high-low very nicely. Honestly, the offense runs nicely when she’s able to contribute. But, Jerome has struggled to finish when the other team is quick/athletic.
Oregon isn’t astonishingly athletic like the last couple of seasons, so she could get some good minutes to help Brink stay out of foul trouble.
I wonder if Oregon shows us a version of a high pressure zone like Colorado, maybe a 1-3-1 which clogs the middle against cutters. Would be nice to see the shooters light them up.

Last few games Oregon was playing Sabally and Prince together. Plus more height on bench Gonna be interestin

Did you see Sabally totally undercut Brink on a Stanford shot before the first commercial timeout? Ouch.

Good start. Brink is playing very well.

Re TxAM, I'm sure they are highly rated by the SEC poll, which is all that matters for some. Push them up unwarranted, and another team can claim a loss or win against a higher rated team.

We lead 16-10 after one quarter. Brink already showing her impact with 5 rebounds and staunchly defending the post without fouling.
Paopao hot for the Ducks with 8 points going for 3/3, the rest of Oregon is 1/11 though.
Kiana with a couple of beautiful midrange jumpers.
Maybe I am not seeing the defensive pressure, but Haley with a dribble off of her foot and seemingly losing the handle on the ball without a poke for 2 turnovers.

#14 is a thug.
If Brink can stay out of foul trouble, she can have a brobdingnagian game and make this a blowout. She is dominating in the paint.

It looks like a pinball game under our basket. It seems that the officials have realized that if they call all of oregon's fouls, the game will take too logn, so they've quit.

Team was playing well and then just a bunch of unforced errors to end the half and let Oregon back in the game . Brink misses an easy layup and then travels on the next posession.

A very good half. I know 8-0 run but still a good half
Stanford a 1 seed

We lead 33-26 at the half as the Ducks halved our lead to end the quarter on a 8-0 run.
I feel like I can copy and paste our struggles with end of quarter situations; we cannot score.
The committee's reveal of the top 16 seeds (for now):
We have a #1 seed (as of now) - we are the #3 overall seed; UConn and South Carolina are ahead of us.
Arizona is the last #2 seed, UCLA and Oregon are #3 seeds with the Bruins as the top #3 seed.

That allegation of a walk on Brink at 0:40 in the 2nd Q was bogus, and not even close.
Oh, and that "easy layup" she missed? The defender hits her upper arm before the ball is released.

On the s-curve we'd have a sweet sixteen game against West Virginia if all went according to seed, and would face the NC State/Oregon winner in the regional finals.

I don't know what it is about Brink, but the refs always seem to find a way to whistle her and they allow opponents to mug her.
I'm glad Maryland isn't in our regional. They look tough.

It's nice to see that nobody is in foul trouble. If we can keep that trend going we can keep substituting and run the Ducks into the floorboards.

Don't argue with internet refs. We're always right because we get to rewind. :•}
There have been more traveling calls than personal fouls. I've never seen a game with fewer fouls called, especially when the players are going so hard. Zero free throws with 5 minutes to go in the 3rd Q.
