Casual fan here, but from what I remember of Hannah Jump last year versus her game this year, I'm blown away. The way she has improved from merely a static three-point shooter to a player who contributes much more broadly in just one year is inspirational.

Our D has held them to 22% 17%. That makes me smile.

Hopefully we can get the lead to 30 by the end of the 3rd quarter. If so, I'd be fine with resting the starters all of the 4th quarter to keep them fresh for Monday's showdown.

We lead 40-18 at the half as we are playing well on both ends; we are shooting 70% from the floor and ASU has been held to 22%, allowing all of our active roster to see some action.
Kiana and Hannah are leading the way with 13 and 10 points respectively, going a combined 9/12. Conversely, we've held ASU's top player Hansen to 5 points on 2/8 shooting.
We also are taking care of the ball better with just 2 turnovers in the second quarter after 6 in the first quarter.
I am joining the chorus as well on praising Jump's improvement. Another thing I want to point out is her smart decision making when she stole the ball and instead of just going for a shot without help and facing 2 defenders; she waited for her teammates to arrive to set up the offense.

Biggest lead in the 1st game against ASU was 17 -- early in the 2nd quarter. Doing a lot better than that so far this time.
And re Jump, yes, really looking good. Maybe not quite Osborne -- referring to all the comments about maybe we should have taken Osborne instead of Jump -- but she's pretty darn good, really developing. Definitely worth having on the team IMHO.

Of course we don't see them in practice, but it sure seems as if she has worked harder and is more committed to improving than we could possibly have hoped for. She completely transformed her body and now she is transforming her game. Just wow.

Lexie really making an impact at the beginning of the 3rd quarter. I think we will be very difficult to beat if we can get her rolling as well in addition to everyone else. Her extra effort, chasing down rebounds and playing stellar defense is a great sparkplug for us.

Yeah, in just the first couple minutes she has a steal, two boards, an assist and four points.

We lead 60-25 heading into the fourth quarter, adding 13 points to our lead. We can & should start pulling our starters, but we should continue to play aggressively with our bench players.
Haley Jones, when she is on, is instant offense. Watching her make midrange jumpers is so satisfying.
Belibi only has 2 points, but she has 10 rebounds coming off the bench.

Up by 35 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Time to rest the starters + Jump who has played plenty Tonite.

She has only 2 points, but is shooting 100% :)

No JVG Tonite? Jerome should be getting some minutes about now. (Following through ESPN tracker).
Just as I typed that.. JVG in the game, shooting FTs.

I am really liking the effort and aggression by Emma-Nnopu.
I am also liking that we are still playing aggressively, instead of just waiting out the clock.

Well, that was a complete game. Very little to criticize in that.
We won every quarter. No one played more than 28 minutes. Jump was terrific. Four in double digits and Belibi and Prechtel with double digit rebounds. Terrific shooting. Suffocating defense.
I refuse to nitpick after an effort like that.

We win 80-41 and one of the more satisfying wins to watch, as we played a complete game and never let up even when we were up big. This is how we do it and how we should do it. I like the aggression and the contributions from everyone:
- Both Belibi and Prechtel with double digit rebounds coming off the bench
- Jump showing offensive versatility and possibly nudging Tara to start her next year
- Aggression and extra effort, grabbing rebounds, playing great D, especially by Lexie and Agnes
- Hot shooting nights from Kiana (7/9) and Jones (5/6)
- Holding down the turnovers after a rough start (6 in the first quarter and 8 total for the other 3 quarters)
- Shooting 58% while holding ASU to 25%

Can't have that. We need to find something ... Lexie went 1 for 3 in FTs... What's going on with the Hulls and poor FTs? They both should be 80%+.

Well, that was probably the best game of the season as far as consistently high energy. A few TOs I wish we would grow out of, but overall A+. ASU is not a good offensive team but our defense was stellar anyway, and the offense was varied and generally really good. Fun to see Jump play so well and Emma-Nnopu with the hustle and rebounds, loved that. Game ball to everyone who hit the court. Great team win!
