We lead 43-16 at the half. After going cold in the middle of the quarter, which dipped our shooting percentage below 40%, Jump decided she had enough and started making threes against the USC zone. She has 12 points on 4/7 shooting from long range; Kianna added her first points of the game with a late 3 after starting 0/4.
Defensively, we are holding USC to 19% shooting; their two best players Pili is 2/9 and Rogers is 1/9, so we are doing a good job of defending them.
Only quibble is 7 turnovers and almost an eighth when we were breaking the full court press and Haley launched a pass that Kianna luckily was able to track down before it went out of bounds, she might be underestimating her own strength there.
Also good to see Lacie playing again, though she picked up 2 fouls. Only person for us in foul trouble. Tara wisely pulled Brink right before the half ended when she picked up a foul.

This is exactly what I wanted to see today. I think every one of our players got time on the court. Jump is on fire. Ki finally got on the board with a 3. Brink is dominating, despite the fact that she has to guard a tank the bulldozes under the basket. Jones is staying in control. Prechtel has her 3 ball dialed in. I see lots of smiles on our players. Wonderful game so far.
BTW, Missy looks like a cartoon character running up and down the court. Makes me laugh every time is see it.

Not a 10+ quarter (only 9), but gives us a 27 point halftime lead. We can cruise in the second half giving the starters plenty of rest.

We are shooting 13/27 from 3 (48%). Hannah is 4/7; Lacie is 3/3.

We lead 67-34 after three quarters. Our defense has dropped, allowing 18 points to USC, but we expanded our lead due to 24 points from our end.
We are actually shooting below our season average at 43% overall, but we are doing our damage from long-range due to the USC zone. We have made 13 three's and are actually shooting better from downtown 46% than from closer range (41%).
Lacie is 3/3 from long range.

Jones and Jump lead all scoring with 14 apiece. I love to see Jones staying focused and involved. This takes the pressure off of Williams to carry the team. Williams is having a quiet night with only 3 points and 2 assists.
Now we have 8 players who have hit a 3 in this game.

Only people who haven't scored, Jana and Agnes. Four people in double digit scoring, and two with double doubles (Jones and Prechtel). What a game! And all the starters are getting good rest -- will have much fresher legs tomorrow than OSU will.

An ongoing concern for me is our FT shooting. Not a big deal in blowouts, but may decide a close game. I'd like to see us shooting better than 75% as a team.
