Wills and Davis are both there. No idea why they're out. But Davis was benched by Haase for the second half on Saturday.
Not good at all when two upperclassmen are seemingly being punished in a late-season game that matters.
USC went 2-13 from three, btw. The blowout is likely to get worse in the second half, not better (unless Davis/Wills ends up playing).

Do we know that Bryce is being punished? I had assumed there was an issue with his knee.

Is there a chance that the slimmed down NIT would invite Stanford?

At this point, why even care?

Haase is yanking the starters, except O'Connell.

If you're looking for a silver lining, Max Murrell refuses to be posterized, twice.

Will a reporter ask Haase about Davis and Wills? The commentators, so far, have only mentioned Oscar as being out. Apparently, they are not aware that Davis and Wills are also out. If it were injury related, would the commentators know about it as they do with Oscar?
What's Monty up to these days?

Nobody for Stanford has reached double digits.
Looks like Stanford vs Cal in the first round of the PAC-12 tourney.

This Davis and Wills thing is weird. There's no way the commentators don't know about them. It's their job to know all the players and they have the season stats right in front of them. Someone has asked to keep this hush.

They just mentioned them in the wind up. At least Davis is sorta cheering on the bench. I never saw Wills. It's gotta be injuries. Otherwise, bad night for Haase.

I'm all but positive he was on the bench behind Oscar. Could only see his head.

I saw both on the bench in warmups. Don't know if they had their uniforms on underneath.

Wills was shown at least once in the 2nd half, high fiving or enthusiastically cheering (can't remember which).
I actually had a harder time finding Davis in the 2nd half. Caught a glimpse from a pan and he appeared to be standing there, or at best, cheering politely, but it was only a glimpse.

I don't think either are injuries. Davis was playing against OSU and was then benched 2 mins into the second half and he ran off the court. Wills played the whole game. Highly doubtful they both got injured in practice.

Seems like I made the right choice by doing the dishes and cleaning the cat's box. Ugh. If the benched players are just the result of injuries, that's terrible luck and sucks, but I would think they would say that without disclosing the injury. If it's not injuries, color me worried about whether the program is going to start, or has started and will be unable to recover from a flat spin.
Cheers,
Pete F.

Just watched the Haase after game presser, and two of the four questions were about Davis and Wills. He said many guys were hurting in various ways, but that in the end it was a coach's decision. Said something about the need for "cohesive" play again. Not liking what I can sort of decipher. Zaire has to be wondering whether he would have developed better at another campus. His best game was what? Game one, two or three? And the triple double. He now looks a little lost and his confidence has disappeared.
