Here! I'll take a 23 point quarter. So far, looking like the far superior team.

Watching, not typing.
That was no foul late. I don't even know which player didn't touch the shooter but was called for the foul.
On this network, I can use my Tivo -- so MUCH better than Sling. Slow motion, fast forward & backward (vs jump)

Watching the game... Not our best effort, but an 8-point lead after one, seems about right. Kiana's shooting streak continues.

Trying to figure out if these whistles are a result of Tara's comments, or refs trying to avoid a blowout.

We lead 23-15 after one quarter. Our defense, after getting off to a good start dropped off towards the tail end of the first ten, allowing Missouri State to gain some confidence going into the second with Jackson 3/4 for them
Kiana is continuing her hot streak starting 3/3 and Jump is 2/3 from long range.
However, we are 1/4 from the FT line.

I wish they would have let Jump take that last shot instead of Jerome.

That second foul on Brink might hurt. Up 13 so only a might hurt

The way they've been calling games at this tourney, I can't believe that second foul called on Brink. She just attracts whistles.
She can dunk, but not make a free throw or a chip shot layup. Frustrating.

Stat of the day, so this will jinx it... 1 turnover.

Ashten missed a couple bunnies
But 8 rebounds

Prechtel has gotten better at being in position for the offensive rebound, but she's not especially good at going up strong after she gets it, and if she is not going to go up strong, she should pass it back out and reset the offense.

OTOH, I will take 8 rebounds in a half.

Wilson having a great first half, first player to double digits and 3 steals

We lead 49-26 at halftime, capping off the first half with great movement on the last possession that resulted in Jump wide open under the basket for an easy layup. Easily one of our best end of quarter/half possessions all season long.
Much deserved halftime interview for Anna; five players with at least 8 points each.
The only downside are Ashten's missed putbacks; she's putting in the hard work with 8 rebounds at the half, but she's 0/4 and can't convert getting the ball in the basket and Brink's 2 fouls, forcing her to sit for most of the first half. So far it's not hurting us, but we definitely need her to stay in for potential future games.

I'll take a 49 point half.

Game going better than I thought at this point. A healthy 23 point lead that should not go below double-digits the rest of the way. Tara should be able to give the starters plenty of rest in the second half to save energy for the EE game.
