Maybe if she is on some team that plays high level competition, then she'll stop her lazy or impossible passes, and be ready for defenders that catch her napping. Maybe practice will help her to stop being where she isn't likely to get a rebound nor where she's in a position to be one of the first back on defense.
She has talent, but she plays like she's not had to work hard to be the best.
OTOH, I was really impressed by Jump's transformation from last year to this. I don't know if she could possibly have as much more improvement before next year, but I expect her again to improve more than others.
I think the model for Jump would be Karlie Samuelson. Karlie was a darn good defender by the time she graduated. Not good enough to guard Plum one on one--but good at executing the game plan, good at knowing angles, good hustle, and not at all a defensive liability. I could see Jump developing into a player much like that. Jump has already started to do some offensive moves that Karlie did not do before her senior year--scoring from places other than the three point line. Perhaps Jump becomes a starter when the Hulls graduate.

I thought sure you were going to say both Jump and Karlie will play for the English National team. Very possible

Lots to speculate about for the coming season: Will Anna return? Will Jana become sure-handed in bringing the ball up the court and earn a starting role (her shooting and passing show a great deal of promise)? Will Jenna heal and finally live up to her perceived potential? Will Hannah or Lacie find a way to break into the starting lineup? Will Fran regain her earlier starting status on the team? How will all the national attention fixed on Haley affect team chemistry? Will Ashten's play in the Tournament ensure her a starting role next season? Will Agnes find a role on the team? How will the Freshmen adjust to college ball? Will #11 rated Brooke Demetre be able to break into the starting lineup by conference play? Will Elena become an x-factor this season? How will Tara meld this group of talented players into a top-notch team?
The answers to these questions will be a lot more complex than a simple depth chart, but here is mine just for fun.

You might be accused of alphabetizing by first names and assigning them to positions in order, except you juggled three in the support column. (Ok, I can't tell the twins apart)

It is fun to speculate. I imagine even Tara does not have an absolutely clear idea of how next year's team will shape up until she sees how the frosh do and how much improvement the rising sophomores have made. Very clear that Jones and Brink and Lexie are starters. Beyond that I think a lot is up in the air. And Tara put little stock in starting roles--Brink and Jones could get more minutes or fewer minutes depending on how they play, how much they foul, etc. If Jones can fix her turnover issues and if Brink can fix her fouling issues, then those two could stay on the floor for long, long stretches.
I like your instinct to say we will be playing two bigs. But even that will change from game to game, I think. There are some teams where defensively we won't be able to make that work.
So after our 5 consistent starters, the players who earned the most minutes this season were:
6. Jump 514
7. Belibi 485
8. Lacie 477
9. Prectel 423
With Williams leaving and Wilson possibly leaving, it would stand to reason that the two guards on that list--Jump and Lacie--stand to get more minutes.
What I am really interesting in is how Tara and Eilleen schedule our out of conference games next year. The Pac 12 could be down a bit, so perhaps we will load up with strong out of conference opponents as we used to do? I'd like to see her put South Carolina back on the schedule early in the season, and UConn too--especially UConn given that we missed them in the tournament.

Sad that people get down on Fran when the answer is Brink is great
Schedule will certainly be interesting plus if a tournament where? When?
The schedule for last season had us starting league play in Earjy December or so or was that just men ? Anyone recall?
Baez great post thanks.
Mostly I just want to go to games

It appears Stanford usually has 3 or 4 games in November each year.

Or 7-8 total
Just a quick add on other teams.
Oregon State presently has 7 scholarship players for next season although 9 for the following season.
Ucla has had 6 commits in the last two weeks
2 Grad transfers both good players
3 2022 commits 2 are PGs
1 2023 commit

Many thought she would succeed Geno.
Or is Vandy like a farm system job ?

Gene-o will be around for a few more years. Ralph could still be the replacement. However, if Vandy keeps losing, she may ruin her chances as Yukon fans will want a top coach. A risk Ralph is apparently willing to take.
Perhaps she believes in the philosophy of not following the legend, but following who followed the legend.

Also let's not underestimate the pull from CoVid to go home to family, roots, etc. She is from NC originally and may have felt this was the right time to head south (and we know that Duke and UNC are no longer possibilities).

Plus the climate is a bid warmer in the winter where she is headed, which makes a difference when you get older for some, especially for women who may not have good circulation in their hands and feet.

That would make her, what 41-42? Excuse me if I object to your characterization of her as "older"

Vandy has nowhere to go but up. Plus she'll get lots of support from her new A.D. who is a "basketball" person, and we know how well that has worked out for us.

While, I'm an "older" woman, and warmer climate is not my choice. Personally, I like snow, cold, winter, etc. Temps above 70 degrees are too warm for me. (Mostly, California is too warm!)
