We lead 21-13 after one quarter thanks to Lexie Hull, who already has a tremendous game after the first ten minutes, scoring 14 points off of three pointers, mid-range jumpers and even driving past block machine Boston. She is carrying us on the offensive end.
Despite Brink's early foul that forced her to the bench early on, Prechtel has filled in admirably.
We are swarming Amihere whenever she gets the ball inside and we are also gambling that Beal can't hit outside shots, so far it's paying off. Despite 6 o-boards by South Carolina, we are limiting them to 21.7% shooting.

The reffing is real bad so far.

Most fouls seem to be going against us.
Great first half so far, but I fully expect South Carolina to storm back and make it close. I'm still cautious about getting a win on their home court.

I'd say alot of plays on both teams that are often called fouls

They’ve called 1 foul on SC in 15 1/2 min of play.

For a team that averages 15+ fouls a game, I’m seriously doubting they haven’t fouled once this game…

That was the first foul on South Carolina

They’ve had 2—one at the beginning of Q2 and one just a bit ago.
ETA: And now 3 and 4.
Great 1st half!!

We lead 42-28 at the half; we sustained the lead despite having both Hull twins on the bench with foul trouble. We were able to find backdoor cuts to score easy layups, though we made a couple of mistakes for turnovers

Announcers very complimentary toward Stanford in the first half.

Fouls: Stanford 8, 2/5 from the line. SC 4, 3/5 from the line. Zebras did some makeup calls late in the half

We cannot let what happened at Tennessee in the third quarter to happen again.
South Carolina is a better team and will certainly finish a rally better if they are able to get off to a hot start in the second half.

Wow, such a great game so far. They are beating us on the o-boards, but only by a few. On the other hand, we are really exploiting our quickness advantage. They are just too slow and lumbering. Dribble penetration and back door cuts are killing them. They have no answer for 4 guards who can put the ball on the floor and bigs who can space them out.
There's no way we will continue to shoot it like this, and they will definitely make a run, especially with the refs on their side (that first foul on Cam was a total phantom call - watched it 3 times on replay and there was literally nothing there). But it's possible with all the rest we've given Lexi, Lacie, and Cam, they really might hit the wall in the fourth.

I'll be happy with a double digit lead after 3. Somehow, I don't have much confidence in this after the Tennessee 3rd quarter.

Doubt it will be like that. Enjoy the moment! Jump with a 3 to start.
