Stanford won’t get an actionable invite unless they make an application.
Do you think Stanford’s administration would do that? It’s not Shaw’s decision.

The Big 10 knows that adding Stanford to it would decrease the payout per school. It is not in a hurry to do that.

In the short term, it is in the Big10’s interest that Notre Dame does not join another conference as a full member.
ND is not likely to rush into joining the Big10, but they can continue to schedule at least 3 games against Big10 members,
possibly 4 now if the USC/ND game continues.

that was one of the few games i attended at the Coliseum. after the game, i went down to chat with our players. they were all nice, but they kept pointing at one of their teammates (a safety) and telling me that i should really be chatting with him, as there were high expectations. so i got to talk with him for a few minutes.
