That sounds implausible; anybody know how involved the football staff was in his coming to the Farm?
As implausible as it sounds, it's 100% correct. The staff had ZERO involvement.

According to him...zero. But quien sabe?
Quote:He completed his accounting degree in December of his senior year and was accepted into Stanford’s MS&E program — and, as a graduate school applicant to Stanford, Fields wasn’t recruited by Stanford’s football program during the application.

It's not completely unheard of: the same thing happened in W Volleyball in 2019. Madeleine Gates, a UCLA middle blocker (and 2nd team All-American) graduated in 3 years, applied to Stanford for a Master's Degree in Statistics, and only after she was accepted did she let anyone at Stanford WVB know she was coming and wanted to play. First transfer ever for Stanford WVB. (She started and played a key role in winning the national championship that year, including winning the national championship point with a kill.)

Could've stuck with the same sport. Isaiah Sanders.
