The SC qb should tell SC that he will not play next year at SC unless they sign 10 all pro O-linemen via free agency.

My hope next year that neither SC or UCLA win the conference........hell I would take Cal over those two, or even ND if they were in the conference.

I swore I had no interest in watching an 80-year old Harrison Ford (or any pale imitation) reprise the role, and then I saw the trailer…

The movie will likely suck, but I can’t help myself; I’ll be there.

Does your Easter egg avatar also bring back childhood memories?

RE: Pac-12 Championship Game Thread. - Austroturf - 12-03-2022

I can share in the schadenfreude regarding USC; but let's all be aware that the Pac-12, of which we are still a member, will now get a lot less money during the bowl season.  Every bowl-eligible team in the Pac-12 now sinks down a level in the bowl pecking order.  Even worse: the Big Ten most likely now has TWO teams eligible for the CFP, so even more money for the conference that USC and UCLA are dumping us for.

The only damage control for the Pac-12 is if USC can manage to replace Ohio State in whatever New Year's Six Bowl the Buckeyes were pegged for.  That would give the Pac-12 two New Year's Six Bowls.  Otherwise, USC drops to the Alamo Bowl, the Huskies drop to the Holiday Bowl, the Ducks drop to the Sun Bowl, etc.  Not a good look for the Pac-12.

Let's all hope TCU hangs on and wins the Big 12.  Otherwise, we might see a CFP with two teams each from the SEC and the Big Ten.

RE: Pac-12 Championship Game Thread. - Austroturf - 12-03-2022

CBS projects USC vs. Tulane in the Cotton Bowl, so that minimizes the damage to the Pac-12's bowl revenues this season.  Washington drops to the Alamo Bowl, while Oregon is projected to be in the Holiday Bowl and UCLA in the Sun Bowl.

Don’t care.  UCLA and USC should be dead to the PAC-12.

The Toejams avoided being embarrassed on national TV...by being embarrassed on national TV

RE: Pac-12 Championship Game Thread. - Goose - 12-03-2022

I have to admit when push came to shove I just couldn't root for USC. I just couldn't face the possibility of the SEC getting two teams in the championship yet again. I am almost OK with it being a team from the Big-10. As long as it is not the SEC. USC is still USC and they still will manage to fail in the clutch. We have yet to see what USC can accomplish when the new coach isn't bringing with him proven players that "grew up" elsewhere in another environment. I fully expect a reversion to more futility going forward. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.

RE: Pac-12 Championship Game Thread. - BostonCard - 12-03-2022

We will see what happens with TCU, but right now the CFP should be Georgia, Michigan, TCU, and Ohio State.
