a lot of people thought something similar in 2005 when we played UC Davis....
If we go 5-7 with a loss to sac state this year like we did that year with Davis, taylor should win coach of the year.

if he wins five games including Sac St he should at least contend for coach of the year....

Good point! This game has the potential to be more enjoyable than several of our remaining games.
It also has the potential to be as deflating as most of our remaining games.
Well, anyone who feels that way maybe should just skip all of them.

The sad reality is that Stanford could give away tickets to this game for free and people still wouldn't go. I expect at least 1/3 of the fans in attendance will be Sac State fans.

The first Big Game I deliberately avoided was 2021. I'd attended every one since 1973. Never regretted it.

They are giving away tickets for Sac State: 4 free youth tickets with every adult ticket purchased, 4 free adult tickets to each season ticket holder.
The Cardinal Kids Day promotion is an annual thing. The season ticket holder promotion is a new one.
(Season ticket holder here who feels vaguely guilty about not going. I want to support Taylor and the team in their first home game. But I'll be there for the Arizona game.)
