Sure enough, according to the Mercury News, "The forecast for Saturday night calls for a light, steady rain and temperatures in the 40s."
If it is in the 40s, the team should count itself lucky. Avoiding snow or snow mixed with rain is a big plus!
I have not been to Pullman for football. But I have seen Stanford basketball play there. Winter 1982. A really miserable trip. Cold with intermittent, blowing snow the entire drive from Spokane to Pullman and on to the hotel in Moscow. The bus driver deserved a big tip for getting us there safely. I'm sure that Travel Operations in the AD won't miss making arrangements for that trip.
To be replaced by late fall/winter trips to Blacksburg via Roanoke Airport (40 miles away). At least football games at Syracuse are played indoors.

Crossing fingers that this is the game we get off to a fast start. Something tells me that we’re going to walk out of the Palouse with a victory tomorrow night.
The team and starts feel like they are lining up for a 2-2 November with victories against Wazzu and Cal.

Latest forecast looks like 51 deg and rain at game start time in Pullman tomorrow.
After having rained for some couple or few hours before hand.
They do have artificial turf I believe, but I still think the weather will favor a running game of which ours has been very lacking.
Our OLine has improved a lot in pass protection but I'm skeptical about their run blocking and ability to open holes.
Seems to me like fortune is swinging the Cougs way.
But I hope you're right, and that our guys make their own fortune happen.

https://vault.si.com/vault/1970/10/26/the-week
WSU's wooden stadium burned down in 1970 so all home games in 1970 and 1971 were played in Spokane until the new stadium was built. Since then, WSU did play occasional home games in Seattle and Spokane. Between 2002 and 2014, WSU played a home game in Seattle almost every year. usually an early season non-conference game. 2002 is when the new Seahawks stadium opened and they were able to double the attendance they could get in Pullman. During that time, they upgraded Martin Stadium and discontinued The Seattle Game.
WSU played a number of games in Spokane from 1950-83.
My father attended the 1968 game, a 21-21 tie one week after a heartbreaking loss to USC.

Apparently they struggle to run the ball too, so they may not have an advantage in that regard.

Per PFF, they have the 7th-worst run blocking line in the country (absolutely dreadful, while ours is merely bad)...and their starting RB is likely out for the game.
