Very nice 81. See you at halftime tomorrow

Right on target 81Alum! That was very insightful.
Given Tara’s age and career milestones, plus the dissolving of thr PAC-12 next year, could it be possible that this will be her last year in coaching?
Whatever the case, I’m sure that she is doing everything in her power to coach these players into an effective, winning team.
Perhaps those fans who enjoy analyzing failings in Tara’s coaching could focus more on her contributions over the years. She has helped develop decades of student athletes and brought years of enjoyment to the Stanford fandom.
As Mary Murphy said in the preseason reception, we’ve had a great run!

I am just going to say and I can't speak for others, but I don't "enjoy" analyzing failings in Tara's coaching. I want us to be the best and as fans, I admit it can be easy to criticize when we don't have the pressure or responsibilities that comes with the job. But I derive no pleasure from it, it's an outlet to vent frustrations, which fans often do.
And as I said earlier, because fans criticize her, it doesn't mean we can't also appreciate her accomplishments or what she's done. It's not an either/or situation.
She's made the program one of the elites in the country, which I do appreciate.
I appreciate the insight that 81alum wrote, regarding Tara's preferred way of communicating, which can be frustrating as fans, but doesn't diminish what's she done.
But let's get onto the game tomorrow against Indiana. We overmatched Hawaii, so I am looking to see how our team looks against an opponent that we will have to be competitive with, if we want to challenge for the conference title and make a deep postseason run.

A reminder that the first chalk talk is about to start.

Seeing the officials for this game, now I’m worried.

Great chalk talk with Katy Steding!
I just noticed that Comcast doesn't know what teams are playing, so my automatic recording of Stanford games didn't kick in. I triggered it manually from my phone.
I guess I would have been able to rewatch later in the ESPN app anyway, but having it on DVR is better.

Same now. Brink mugged under the hoop, no foul. Iriafen taps someone under the boards, foul.

Nice start by the Cardinal women. Up 10, 16-6.

We need to play well enough that the refs cannot affect the outcome.
Agara is in now, along with Brooke

not a good showing in 1st qtr for Lepolo, very indecisive
but great start

Great first Q by the Cardinal. We lead 26-15. Brink has 2 fouls but has been dominant. We made 6 threes in the first quarter, shooting at 50%. Our defense has been strong. Lovin' it.

I do not believe this. ESPN2 just switched to some goofball dog racing. Picked up the game on espn3, but this is unforgivable. And Disney wonders why they're in trouble. High prices, low quality.

only 1 foul for Brink per livestats
game is on espn

37-20 at the 2nd quarter timeout. Stanford looking increasingly dominant.
In other news, UConn lost to NC State, 92-81.

That is good news. I thought they whistled her for her second. She is 2 rebounds away from a double-double with over 6 minutes to play in the 2nd Q. Awesome!

When the announcers welcomed viewers from pickleball, that was your cue to switch back to the original channel, ESPN. :)
