Putting prediction here as I don’t think applet worked for me.
TCU 35
LSJU 24
I think our defense is still in process.

Close for about 8 minutes. Stanford secondary battles but gives up big plays. Struggles continue for the Cardinal run game even as the offense looks pretty good between the 20s, but things bog down in the red zone.
There will be better days.

Sure, Toads (Los Sapos) with an 8-10 point spot -- BASED ON LAST YEAR, and Stanford's woeful Defense.
Oddsmakers don't have time to study TCU vs Stanford. That point line could be WAY OFF.
Look at what they did on FLST vs GTEC in the OPENER!! Vegas had Noles as 11.5 FAVE. Blew it.
1) We are at home, and others have said the Toads don't do well on the Road. Check.
2) Stanford Defense surprises. I think the DBs make a good squad: Wright & Manley (raise to 4-stars), Edwards + Leigber a SR at Safety.
Jay Green from UW will work in as a Nickel. Experienced Secondary this year. We gotta make turnovers.
3) Key insight: TCU CBs are not at full strength -- Ayomanor & Corp go nuts. We are tall and capable at WR. Loaded.
Lots of quick stuff, flanker screens. Then over the top. Taylor will be in Pass First (Bill Walsh) mode.
I would run Farrell or another WR out of the backfield on flare and circle routes -- overload the slower TCU LBs.

4) YES, YES, can our O-Line handle it?? That is the greatest hope. But, pass blocking will be first.
5) Our RB by Committee? Nobody knows. Maybe some draw plays, jet sweeps to Farrell, mix it up. Can somebody rise up?
6) How conservative will Taylor play? I don't know -- but I am hoping he takes off the leash. Experiments. Nuthin to Lose.
My greatest fear is that Sonny Dykes -- a solid coach -- does Harbaugh on us and grinds it out. Keeps the ball.
Getting stops on third down might be our under-belly. But, they have gaps on their O-line also.
Fearless Trees: 28, Sad Sapos 24.

IMO if you fear that you must be terrified of being hit by the flying pigs as well :-). Dykes won't grind it out, even if he has the personnel to do so. That is not how he is wired and not what his team is built to do. We could be defensively bad enough that even a team running an offense it seldom practices and doesn't recruit towards can beat us doing so. However, if we are that bad they can absolutely annihilate us running their "real" offense. That doesn't mean TCU won't run the ball, but IMO they will try to do so by getting us so focused on rushing the passer that we virtually have no run defense.

Well, the position my head took was that we just wouldn't get it done and my heart wanted to be a homer and my head won out. I hoped to be proven wrong. I really did. There were still some things to like.
It might well end up being another good year for the Borg but we held them at bay for much of the night.
