Not to mention the limitations on getting players through the portal.
That is the new world. A good friend of mine son is a college basketball coach. Assistant at a D1 school. Turnover is just the way it is. You have no choice you deal with the portal or you die.

Easy. Opponents get a book on them, players get hurt, no depth.
Now it’s Taylor’s fault? I don’t give a damn if you have new Bill Walsh/Bill Belichick/and every other great football coach heading up this team. You need talent. They lack it. They have for quite a while. And they’re going to continue for quite a while unless they decide to play ball with the big boys.

Tell me how? You think playing up the Stanford academic aspect really matters with big-time players anymore. You’re 18 years old you have a chance to go somewhere get a big NIL deal. What are you going to do.
Then when you do get a good player and he comes to Stanford and there’s 15,000 people in the stands and the team stinks and they have a chance to go somewhere else, they transfer.
go ahead fire Taylor. Bring somebody else in. Fire heaven two years or three years after they continue to stink. I’m less until they change their attitude. This is what you’re gonna get. Maybe every once in a while, a team will rise up and surprise people. But that’s it. And even that’s dubious.
It’s great to have high standards, etc. But when everybody else is playing by different rules, it makes it pretty tough.

Not that it matters, but these announcers are terrible. So many mistakes.
Called Baklenko for the missed block for the fumble, when it was McGlaughlin. Called Aaron Morris for the coverage on that pass inside the 5, when it was Nicholson. Displayed entirely wrong stats for Ashton Daniels last week (14 for 31??)
It's nice to channel my negative energy into something other than our team's performance....
