0-7 from three point range won't get it done. In fact, it won't make us competitive.

How many times have we run out the shot clock and Harriel has the ball with the clock dwindling and has to force up a terrible shot. Ohio State is a not a great defensive team. Lack of offense has been a major issue for us since the LSU game. Maybe Tara wants to draw up some plays for the team since she's there.

19 points in the half. Sadly, this is not entertaining, and I am turning the game off. Hopefully I will regret doing so.

Well, Nunu can't hit from point blank range, we're 1-8 from outside, and we've turned it over on 1/3 of our possessions. Looking at it that way, I'm actually kind of heartened we're only down 14.
Can I ask an... Awkward question: at what point do we start to put the seeming lack of any plan on offense on the coaches? We've had several half court possessions where it wasn't clear anyone had any idea what they were doing and no one was even trying to help the player with possession.

Exactly. It's embarrassing.

The problem is clearly on the offensive end. Ohio St. is getting into our players and we aren't quick enough to do much about it. The best way to beat teams like this, IMO, is to set screens away from the ball and keep spaced out. They are killing us when we are bunched together. Stop the ball screens and start off-ball screening and cutting and attack after catches.
We also can't get into a track meet with them. They are WAY more athletic. The faster the pace, the worse it is. Break the press, and then execute.

Ill say again, believe it or not, Lepolo would help, but like a few others, I'm wondering if she will make it back this year. Heal is too weak with the ball, Clardy dribbles into a mess, and Shay makes two high school intercepted passes. 11 turnovers. Yikes

Almost three quarters through, we have two assists. We aren't athletic enough to beat them off the dribble, but that's been 80 percent of our offense. Our failure to set any effective screens or pass with the kind of precision to open things up is dismaying. Yes, we're less talented, but it really feels like we have no game plan.
And yes, I think Lepolo would have made a big difference with their press. I'm worried she's going to sit out and grad transfer, and honestly, I can't blame her for wanting a shot at a final season that's better than this...

Ohio State is just quicker than we are so we’re not easy open shots…plus we look intimidated since we’ve missed a couple of easy layups. Not all of our guards want to dribble and drive to the basket which causes problems. But it feels like our offense has been scouted and we need to add some more options.

Does anyone have any real insight on Lepolo's status? Is she actually injured where she can't play or trying to preserve her eligibility? The PG spot is very full next year with the nation's top PG coming in as a freshman in Swain, Clardy will be back, Ijiwoje. Lepolo will have stiff competition.

Last year she had niggling knee problems and she had knee surgery in the off season. This year she did something to an ankle and the knee and ankle reputedly set each other off.

A rational worry. But worries like this are what is wrong with college sports.

That’s great to hear as it should be stellar. How outstanding?.., I don’t know but am curious. We have a tremendous program, fans, and donors. Lifetime Cardinal has stepped up for men’s and women’s basketball.

Right? She boxes out better than our entire starting lineup.

I'd be interested also in that NIL range for WBB. Is it closer to $10k or $50k per year for a player like Nunu? Do the players have to do anything in exchange for the NIL?
The 6'6" player from Finland looks like a project to me. Betts was more polished her freshman year.
