Huske swam today so I assume the news was at least overblown if not incorrect (or Meehan changed his mind after the blowback)


ETA: Just re-read the article. Meehan had to have changed his mind because he stated his plans in an interview, not just rumors/speculation.

He's allowed to do that.  I hope it works out for the team at NCAAs, and I don't actually have an opinion on whether those extra few days would have made a difference.  Glad the athletes got to perform against conference rivals.

There might be something in that ACC contract that requires schools to participate fully in spirit or letter.  That'd bring in the lawyers.  And Stanford fought hard enough to get into the ACC; I don't want to know what all the potential ejection clauses might look like.  Can't blame Meehan for thinking about it though.  Travel sucks.

Maybe next year in Dallas if SMU can host?
