Sack with a 4 man rush!

RE: Wake Forest Game Thread - needle - 10-03-2026

Good news: Stanford forces a WF punt

Bad news:  WF has a clear special teams advantage, Stanford offense starts at the one

#74 is sooooo bad

RE: Wake Forest Game Thread - triskaidekaphobia13 - 10-03-2026

Can someone help me understand why we are still giving the ball to Micah Ford? Just totally unproductive. Why do we expect that to change

Barry Sanders would look mediocre behind this line

Stanford defense forces a four-and-out!

Offense takes over at its own 10. I'd like to see some Blackburn targets, another screen, and let's NOT try any trick plays / end arounds.

now our long snapper is hurt.

Bahhh.

RE: Wake Forest Game Thread - ADPinWDC - 10-03-2026

WAKE actually executes on Offense; they block.
Their receivers keep running to get open.
Running backs break first contact.
And their skill players make Touchdowns.
... FASCINATING APPROACH!  ??
WAKE 22, STAN 3 with 3min to go in Q2.

1st Down!

That was Warren picking up the blitz and finding the receiver behind it.
6th year Senior QB

Not running a play before the two-minute time out is a give-up move. I hate it, especially when you know Wake is going to get the ball to start the second half.

RE: Wake Forest Game Thread - JeebsOak - 10-03-2026

How bad is Georgia tech? Because the gap between Stanford and the other acc teams look to be about as big as Sac State to Stanford 15 years ago. What the ***** are we doing here?

RE: Wake Forest Game Thread - ADPinWDC - 10-03-2026

So, we have 3rd and 12... and call a 4 yard pass play... ?

WAKE expects to score when they get the ball.
We struggle to get first downs.
With Gerhart or Taylor or McCaff (and the TWU) we would lean forward on every play.
Now we don't.

RE: Wake Forest Game Thread - rogpodge - 10-03-2026

Look, everyone. Stanford has, over the last couple seasons, actually developed a home field advantage. 9am starts on the East Coast are not great for Stanford.

RE: Wake Forest Game Thread - JeebsOak - 10-03-2026

40 yards in about 6 seconds lol

RE: Wake Forest Game Thread - newguy - 10-03-2026

now Briehler is hurt.

RE: Wake Forest Game Thread - JeebsOak - 10-03-2026
