I forgot to mention that if Mrs. GoodGrief took over my post, you would receive occasional posts about styling tips for the football team (Coach Harbaugh looks better with a hat than without, Andrew Luck really needs to shave, Kevin Hogan looks older than a 20 year-old, etc).

She'd probably be pretty vanilla in her playcalling, but that would be more successfult than me. If I were coach, every 4 downs would be: Long Bomb, Double Reverse To Kelsey Young, Long Bomb, and Fake Punt.

She sounds like a real keeper (though I'm biased, because she sounds a heck of a lot like my wife... you don't live on the Peninsula, and notice that your wife disappears to go see what may be another, secret, second family for weeks at a time, do you?)!
Despite your fine taste in women, I'd prefer that Shaw keep calling the plays instead of you, if that's OK. It still makes me chuckle when I see posts, from football-educated fans, on this board that essentially advocate losing games for the sake of offensive statistics or "style". I'll take a coach who can best apply what he has in all three facets of the game and come away with an "ugly" W (even if that means running the clock and punting for field position... albeit NOT on 3rd down, Walt!) every time ;D

A word ban should continue whenever the football team loses a game. However, the ban should not be restricted to the word "brobdingnagian." There is no guarantee that "brobdingnagian" is the culprit. It is only logical that the real cause of the problem is the word that is most frequently used. A simple computer program can find the word in no time, as well as the person who used the word the most. After all, it always someone's fault and it is only fair that the evil witch be exposed. Further, banned words should be replaced with a cryptic phrase that is 10 word long or more. To be safe, the top 5 most common words should also be replaced with long cryptic phrases. A side benefit to this approach is that: potential recruits, recruit's parents, new fans, players, sports columnists, psychologists studying fan disorders, and those who want to know what intelligent Stanford fans are really like, will scratch their heads and simply go away.
