Re: Bye Week To-Do List - Farm93 - 10-15-2010

Quote:kal did a good job of keeping it together last November just long enough to beat us.  They may not be as fragile as you hope, Farm93.

kal concerns me more than any other opponent left on the schedule.  I would not have been surprised if Massey had calculated Stanford\'s probability of winning to be < 50%.

Well, they are all tough.  Play them one at a time.  Etc.  Still, I know what you mean.

However, USC\'s D is worse than Stanford\'s D.  And USC\'s O is worse than Stanford\'s O.  If USC can beat them, and beat them good, then I will feel more secure about the Big Game prospects.

As it stands, the Nevada loss at Nevada is the only real bad game they have played.  And in that game C.a.l just could not adjust their schemes for Nevada\'s QB.  It is the type of scheme problem that will not emerge in any of their remaining games.

It\'ll emerge against Oregon. (Not that that helps us much, aside from the warm fuzzy feeling we get whenever Cal is rendered down to roadkill.)

Re: Bye Week To-Do List - fullmetal - 10-15-2010

What\'s the over/under on players from either team during the Oregon/kal game taking an unflagged helmet shot?

Just saying.

Well that is not going to be a scheme problem kind of game.  That is just going to be a problem.  Oregon has superior coaching, superior speed, a superior scheme, superior motivation, superior depth, superior resources and superior talent at almost every single position.

However, if by CHANCE USC actually beats Oregon and Stanford still has 1 loss then I will become an enormous C.a.l fan on Nov 13.

Given how hard it is to play Oregon, I think I am lovin\' the idea that C.a.l plays Oregon on 11/13.

Re: Bye Week To-Do List - Farm93 - 10-16-2010

USC looks great, or alternatively C.a.l looks terrible.

Why can\'t Stanford ever seem to get this Riley??

Re: Bye Week To-Do List - yvonne - 10-16-2010

It\'s not just Riley; it\'s everything.  Even the punter shanked one.

Re: Bye Week To-Do List - Farm93 - 10-16-2010

Ugh!  The B.e.a.rs are terrible!!!

Why or why does this C.a.l team play so poorly against SC?

BTW - There is SC going for a 1st down on 4th down while up 28-0.  I am not hearing the crowd beg for a FG.  Why run up the score???  What\'s Kiffin\'s deal?

Re: Bye Week To-Do List - fullmetal - 10-16-2010

I guess the crowd\'s thirst for a reminder of their past dominance can only be slaked by the blood of bears.
