Not at all. Should have popped off sooner.
Enjoying some of Owusu's play as well.
I do hope they all get loose and start screwing with UCLA's heads this half.

Not out of the woods yet.. Expect Hogan to regress to the mean in the second half. Hopefully we can scratch out enough points to edge the Bruins.

I think there is underlying causality to the application of the Patrick Ewing Theory today. I think Hogan (and Shawgren for that matter) has been locking on to TyM the entire season.

Didn't need to pass at all on the first drive of the quarter.

When was Williamson's last miss?

We've been playing pretty well, but the key difference with previous offensive performances is that, after the initial flurry of flags, we haven't had penalties or turnovers. Without handicapping ourselves, the talent in this team is able to shine.

I show a miss at OSU, unless that wasn't Williamson.

Williamson was 4/8 in August/September 4/6 in October and is now 6/6 in November.

You're right I just missed that one.
In game-related news, it's always nice to see the other team run a fade on 4th and goal. People complain about our playcalling, but that may as well have been a knee.

Well, I completely blew the prediction for this game, and never been so happy to be so wrong. Now I'm just wondering where this was all year.
Neuheuisal's theory (which Todd Husak also suggested) seems to have held. Without Montgomery to be Hogan's crutch, it looks like he was forced to go through his progressions, find alternate receivers and just go to whoever was open. Hogan hit 9 different receivers on 16 pass completions, no receiver more than three times.

Funny, under most circumstances, I would root for Cal in a game against USC. Well, I would be rooting against USC more, but you get the picture. More ammunition to Cal fans who complain that we don't care about the rivalry enough, but I consider it a positive; Cal are our rivals, but I don't hate them. Hate is overused in sports, but USC rises to the occasion.

To be fair, at that point it looked like UCLA was going to wipe the floor with us. It was hard to tell that they had scored 70% of their total points by then.
