not sure of the level of competition but Lukrich appears to run well for his size and can hit in space. we've missed the latter with FBs really since Ward. I hope he keeps filling out. sub 4.8 40 and a 33" vertical -- we could use him on either line.

On the bright side, sometimes three stars is enough. Just ask Richard Sherman and David DeCastro. Our dominant Orange Bowl team was full of 3-star guys and even some 2-star guys.
I may have to rewatch the movie Gattaca to feel better, though. Or Hoosiers.

I can see from the pic in his tweet that Stanford still hasn't ditched the ugly black outline on the numbers. Perhaps someone should remind David Shaw the last time the numbers looked like that the team also sucked until the black outline was removed. I believe 2007 was the last year of that butt-ugly look.

Yes, but he's a likely 2-year mission guy, so that would effectively make him a Class of 2023 incoming freshman. Yep. Though I think he's bigger now.
The recruiting sites like using DE for what we would consider OLB due to scheme difference. They base it off a 4-3 while we run a 3-4.

The article from September stretches him to 6'4" 225 lbs, for whatever it's worth. But I agree. His size, athleticism and recruiting profile very closely resemble Casey Toohill circa 2015: https://247sports.com/Player/Casey-Toohill-67124/high-school-118042/.

I think that Kendall and Armitage are announcing their commitments in the next week or so. Any reason to be optimistic about either one? I'm not expecting a November miracle with the class of 2021, but it would be nice to land two or three four-stars.
