The question is "Can she shoot the 3?" That seems to be a prerequisite to play on a KP team.

Well, if that is a prerequisite one of two things must be true.
1. She can.
2. KP feels she can learn.

Post hoc ergo propter hoc. Are you suggesting that if Iriafen had not transferred out that she wouldn't be playing?

Coach Paye doesn't seem to expect a lot of 3 pointers from her bigs.
The 2 bigs that have the most playing time so far are Agara and Demetre.
Agara is 3-7 in threes, and Demetre 4-7 in threes, total, over the first 3 games.
So a little over 2 attempts a game.
Also their attempts at threes seems slightly declining as the opponent has gotten better.
For example, Demetre took 5 attempts vs LeMoyne and no attempts vs Gonzaga.

When was the last time we won a head-to-head recruiting battle with an announcement date? Seems like a lot of them have gone against us of late. It seems like when we have gotten commitments, it has just been announced without much fanfare.
I gotta say I’m prepared to be disappointed (again).

I really like our chances with Somfai. I believe we are the favorites (regardless of what every Uconn fan poster thinks). If I'm wrong, I will own it. Even without Somfai, this is a tremendous recruiting class for us so no reason to be disappointed. This will be the cherry on top.

If Chavez goes to Texas Tech, is she getting a $1.2 million NIL deal à la Canady?

Looking at Somfai's final 3...Duke has done well but not great under Lawson. And, really, does anyone think Geno is going to stay around for another five years?? S/B Stanford.

I hope that Lara reached out to fellow Aussie and Stanford alumnus Alana SMITH,
who should really serve as a mirror for Lara in terms of her illustrious collegiate
playing career at Stanford and her rise as a WNBA stalwart and one of the current
Australian senior national team stars

Awesome news...the consensus out there seemed to be leaning towards UConn, but glad it was wrong. Kate is doing a great job at making the transition as smoothly as possible. This is a stellar class and will hopefully be the building block to get us back to national title contention within the next couple years.

For me, Lara is the second coming of Alana SMITH and more....
Both are 6'4 and both starred for Australia's U17 teams
before coming to Stanford.
But Lara has a more complete game at this stage of their basketball careers,
because she already has a reliable 3-point shot.
