Paul "Daffy" Dean, brother of Dizzy Dean.

How about the nickname for Cornelius McGillicuddy?

I read this yesterday so won’t say.
However remember Joel Youngblood

Playing for both teams in the same game?

Correct.  Jansen was traded from Boston to Toronto after the game was suspended, and if he plays will be the first player to play for both teams in the same game.

Point of correction.  Jansen was traded from the Blue Jays to the Red Sox, not vice versa.

Joel Youngblood.  A hit for two different teams in two different cities on the same day.

What were the teams he played for? Extra points for naming the two Hall of Fame pitchers  that he got hits off of that day.

RE: Sports trivia thread 2024 - BobK - 08-26-2024

Cubs or maybe hit hit against the Cubs. If hit against the Cubs the. Ferguson Jenkins

RE: Sports trivia thread 2024 - skip75 - 08-26-2024

Youngblood played for the Mets and was traded to Montreal.
I think that Bob is correct - that following the trade Youngblood went from NY to Chicago where the Expos were playing the Cubs.
