Veritt tears Achilles. Drs out there - are you more susceptible to Achilles tear after an ACL reconstruction?

Not an MD but…..
He tore his Achilles Tendon in 2018. I do not know if this injury was to the same Achilles.

I think it was the other Achilles. The one who killed Hector.

A very nice win now 5-4. Jimmy played very well although I wanted the TD at the end but appreciate the FG was necessary

Not McCaffrey's best day, but he did have the game-winning touchdown.

Is our team taking the enthusiasm out of Niner football as well? Two posts after a win?
Was at an airport and watched the first two possessions, we gave up an impressive drive to SD, then drove down the field only to stall at the two or three. Didn't know if we kicked or not, as the plane was boarding and a D lineman was hurt. I assume Shanahan kicked. Guess I would have run at the D lineman's replacement.

Late in the game Chargers were down 2 DL 3rd and goal at the one and we ran lost yard and kicked a FG

Kittle and Samuel combined for 3 catches against the San Diego Chargers. That's just criminal.

AYFKM?
Why don't you call Kyle and suggest some ways for Kittle to get open and perhaps complain that they didn't win the correct way?
If you are watching TV you don't see the whole field and have no clue to overall defense. Or maybe you have the all 22 on a secret set. Geesh.

Never mind then. Ouch. That's not good. . ..

Defense had a SUPERB second half.
Is it me, or is Shanahan a wee bit predictable? Have the NFL's defensive coordinators caught up to him? I know that Garropolo thinks so.
The Niners got a brand new special teams coach this year, and he's not doing it. Blocking on FGs and placekicks is miserable.
Not to pile on Cal woes, but the Niner center, Cal alum Jake Brendel is the weakest link on that line any time McGlinchey
doesn't hold. He's like the 23rd best run-blocking center.
When Armistead and Kinlaw come back, that line is going to be
frightening. BTW, Armstead just bought a house near me. Great guy. Owns three cars, all matte black.
I wonder how many OCs/GMs are kicking themselves for not getting Garoppolo.
The rookie and 2nd year guards are quietly having a pretty good season.
I may get scolded, but I think Trent Williams doesn't live up to the hype about 1/3rd of the time.

I mean, it’s not like other teams don’t know what the Niners are going to try to do, and try to stop them. If the DC says “I’m not going to let Kittle or Samuel beat us” and will bracket them with defenders, then, yeah, will be hard to get them the ball.
Or, maybe Shanahan is an idiot, and he should hire OF to be his coordinator.

Brendel is from UCLA. You might have been thing about Alex Mack, the former Cal center who retired after last season.

Mick, I respect your takes very much but Kinlaw? Never going to happen. Lynch and Kyle were trying to channel Balke’s propensity to draft cripples.

Of course, one could take that to mean that ONLY an idiot would hire OF to be his coordinator. I am sure you didn't mean that however.

Don't know where else to put this, but Casey Toohil recovered a lateral and scored a TD as time ran out in the Commanders upset of the Eagles.

Eagles fans have a right to be spicy, with a chance to take the lead, their receiver fumbles, but not until after a blatantly missed face mask penalty. Though who knows what would have happened had the call been made and Philly gotten 15 yards and a first down.
Of course on the very next possession, Philadelphia fumbled again, and then on the last possession, you saw what happened.
Crazy game. And the 72 dolphins celebrate.
