It seems to this outsider the Eubanks tweet is smoke we see, and his creating it is the fire he first hand witnessed. IOW, my confidence is high that USC is guilty as charged. And frankly, SMcF's post pointing out that USC now has "cut throat recruiters" who leave integrity at the door, makes it that much more believable. And, it IS USC. They can't be expected to be virtuous very long, if they ever really were.
Shades of Tosh Lupoi when he bolted Cal for Washington.

Of course, but who is suppose to be setting the example? Grown adult men, or teenagers?

I'm old enough to remember when Harbaugh would just ghost recruits who had committed but who he had over-recruited.
Ultimately, it depends on how transparent a program is to recruits. If it tells the recruit, you are our number one choice and if you commit we will stop recruiting other players at your position, that's different than saying that your spot may not be guaranteed.

So it looks like Josh Moore intends to sign during the early signing period in a couple of weeks, but his roller coaster recruitment, who knows.

And QB Jake Garcia, USC's highest-ranked recruiting prospect, has decommitted. But the Trojans still have Miller Moss, so there's that.

Well, we already have a QB commit in 2021, and we haven't had two since 2011 with Hogan and Crower. (I'm not counting 2018 when we signed West and McKee, because McKee didn't enroll until 2020 due to his mission.)

Moore plays for a really run heavy offense so again he has not showed much again at WR. recently he had a pick 6 from S.
Garcia is at HS #2 in GA as he has transferred around to try and find field time. Garcia started his 1st game last week (1st round of playoffs). he was 11-17 for 176 yards and 3 TDs. his team plays top-ranked Grayson tonight.

4-star OG Drew Kendall from MA has a final two of Stanford and Boston College. Don't know what our chances are, but at least we are still in it.

All the 247 Sports gurus have him going to BC. Then again, they all had Armitage going to U$C and he chose us, so who knows?

Good point, JohnR, although I it looks like the most recent CB is almost 3 months old. Maybe recent developments favor Stanford? Rivals FutureCast has Stanford at 47% for Kendall.
Given that early signing day is one week from today, I expected more traffic on this thread. Back to 247, Stanford is still in the running for ILB Ese Dubre and that's it. Maybe S Josh Moore willl recommit? Any stealth recruits or potential steals? Or is the consensus that this will be the worst class of the Shaw era and let's focus on 2022?

Yes and possibly. Still in it for a couple OL - Kendall, Tyler Maro, and recent offer Austin Uke.

Perhaps they figured that a bunch of guys will return next year that they hadn't figured on because of the extra eligibility. They certainly will not have many draftees.

Indeed, Shaw and staff could do some mitigation by "signing" Wedington, Sarell, Dalman, Robinson, Toner, Mills, et al. to a 5th year. Those guys are all fringe NFL talent and maybe another year could improve their pro prospects.

It may be Shaw's worst class though not clearly so. Of course the real quality is revealed by how well the players end up performing - possibly associated with how well the staff evaluates players.
Using 247 for concreteness, Shaw's bad classes were:
2013 #11 Pac, #52 Nationally, Avg Rating 0.878, 12 players
Notable players: Kalambayi, Burns, F Owusu, Palmer, Hooper, Tyler, Bright
Sean Barton signed but missioned for two years.
2018 #7 Pac, #40 Nationally, Avg Rating 0.8802, 14 players
Notable players: Wilson, Fox, Booker, Williamson, and whomever emerges going forward.
Tanner McKee signed but missioned for two years.
2021 #9 Pac, #59 Nationally, Avg Rating 0.8615, 14 players [so far]
Notable players will emerge.
