I’m not following recruiting closely for the second cycle in a row, but it seems like Spring official visits have moved up the timing of commitments.  I note that Stanford has a couple of highly regarded players, but is stuck at 6 commitments, tied for second to last in the conference. I’m interested in knowing what you all are hearing about the potential for Stanford to catch up to its conference rivals as the cycle moves forward. I was encouraged by the crystal ball predictions over the course of the last week and am hoping that you all are hearing positive vibes.

I doubt these TAMU posters have any non-public info, but they sure are complementary about Stanford and negative on TAMU’s chances with 4-star DL Ernest Cooper.

Surprise! One of the first CB offers of the class commits. 6'2", long, top rated player in DC.

If we get the 2 more DBs I believe we will, it's another large and well-rounded DB class.

I'm pleased with the DB depth.  The lack of any top 400 DB recruits since the 2019 class is a little concerning.  Some of the guys in the middle range will need to exceed their rating, but it seems like a decent bet that'll happen due to the depth in recent classes.
