yes, it will be very disappointing not to have space for edwards, olson and cheli, and we will need another post
like blanca thomas, soon. and then there's allie ziebell, a higher-ranked hannah-jump-type sharpshooter.
Your comment "we will need another post, like bianca thomas, soon" is actually quite
an URGENT one, especially after BRINK graduates. When you think about it, Stanford will
only have 3 true post players for the 2023-2024 season, since AGARA was a guard up until
her HS sophomore season then got transplanted to SF/PF last season, and if one or more
of BRINK/BETTS/IRIAFEN gets injured, hmmm....compare that to this season, wherein
Stanford has BETTS/PRECHTEL/BRINK/IRIAFEN/BELIBI/JONES at the PF/C position!
Getting PROSPER from the 2023 class would fittingly address this issue, though.

I’m not sure I agree with the urgency for getting PF or C in the class of 2023.  I don’t think Agara is a guard trying to play PF like say Tara tried with Bonnie Samuelson.  Agara has the body type, strength and rebounding ability of a prototypical PF and that was why she was selected to the USA U17 team as a PF.   And Demetre can also play the 4 if need be.  Thus you have 5 good options for 2 spots.  Hidalgo is an elite PG which we have had trouble recruiting and Watkins could be the next Diana Taurasi so if those are your 2 other 2023 recruits you have to take them.  And or Prosper who is so versatile and talented perhaps like Haley Jones/Nicole Powell.

a video showing nunu's size and strength. she reminds me of nadia fingall.

On our list are two who aren’t active or not much on social media    What are your thoughts on Stanford getting their commitment?
Cassandre Prosper?
Bri Camaj?

RE: Class of 2023+ - FOXO1 - 09-02-2022

I'd take Watkins and Hidalgo in a heartbeat even if it meant a rebuilding year or two after they graduated.

No idea what they are thinking. As far as what we'd hope to see: Camaj isn't ranked by any of the services I could find. So, it's hard to get excited about her. Prosper has gotten some raves, but she didn't impress nearly as much as several others in the recent Under Armour all-star game.

Wow!

Class of 2024 (Michigan):
#3 overall - Olivia OLSON 6'0 PG

Highest ranked recruit (at #3 overall) in University of Michigan WCBB history.
She's going to be the face of Wolverine WCBB basketball from 2024-2028.

Plus she will get a lot of high-quality help at the SG/PG positions
from their Class of 2023 (Michigan):

#52 overall - Taylor WOODSON 6'0 SG  (excellent wing player,
teammate of Maya NNAJI and Nunu AGARA in HS)

#69 overall - Macy BROWN 6'0 SG

#73 overall - Keity EIDLE 5'11 PG

Oh, and they also have 2021 #32 overall and McD AA
6'0 SG Greta KAMPSCHROEDER who just transferred
from Oregon State, who will be a senior
when OLSON plays her freshman season.

Update:
There are serious speculations in the Notre Dame WCBB message board
that Class of 2024 #10 overall and #1 center in 6'5 Bianca THOMAS
will follow suit and commit to Michigan:

Olson and Blanca Thomas posted pics inthe UM uniform earlier (ndnation.com)

if the michigan suit is any indication.....

RE: Class of 2023+ - Card10Fan - 09-09-2022

Hannah Hidalgo is taking an official visit to ND this weekend. Will be lots of official visits happening the next few months. Excited for our chance to do the same when classes resume. If we lose a recruit or two to Michigan. So be it. Much rather them than UConn or ND.

RE: Class of 2023+ - MSG1716 - 09-09-2022

Any thoughts on why Michigan is all of a sudden getting these top women basketball recruits? Is it NLI money paying for the best athletes they can bring the Michigan?  Seems like the future of college sports.

RE: Class of 2023+ - BobK - 09-09-2022

First ever elite 8 this past year. Recruits for 23-24 local or fairly local
As usual no clue on academics which we only know in rare cases
Welcome MSG

The Harballs effect. His EUTM has permeated the other coaching offices.

RE: Class of 2023+ - dcnav - 09-13-2022

What are the chances that Green earns a scholarship? Then there would be four next year. Meaning if we wanted to save one for 2024, then we're already full.

As Bobk mentioned, on the tail of their best post season, first Elite 8, plus a great individual career and solid WNBA rookie season for their star Naz Hillmon.

I was surprised Gail Goestenkors passed on the Michigan job (her home state) years back after resigning/struggling at Texas as it seemed to have high potential with low expectations. If Thomas joins Olson, that's a tough inside-outside tandem.

Stanford would still has Umeh, Edwards, Fournier, and maybe Dudley can play some inside for forward-center '24 options. I think Joyce Edwards is the one I'd like most, has spent the most time at #1 in the class and seems to have an Aja Wilson-like game, versatility, and pro-build though a little shorter.

I saw Watkins do a livestream on instagram but was too shy to ask about colleges. She was sitting in a car with Mackenly Randolph. Randolph visited Louisville a few weeks ago

Olivia Anderson has committed to Washington. I moved her to the "formerly possible" list.

RE: Class of 2023+ - BobK - 10-07-2022

Thanks on Anderson. I hate to take someone off when a public board but doubt we were recruiting her recently

Agara is at Stanford on her Offical. Wonder who else ??

RE: Class of 2023+ - BobK - 10-07-2022

Dudley released her top 10 and no Stanford
